Lever gun dilemma..

With all these threads popping up about lever action rifles, I want one!Was just thinking as a plinker. Probably a .357/.38 Dilemma is most have a 14 inch length of pull. I have short arms. 12 1/2 inch l.o.p. Curious as to whether lever guns fit differently than standard rifles or shotguns. Will a 14 inch lop on a lever gun be too long?

This isn’t probably gonna be too helpful but I’m 6’6” and I own a Rossi clone of a model 92 in .44 with a 16” barrel. I understand barrel length isn’t relevant but the carbine is tiny, seems super short. I’m not sure what LOP is on it.

I'm short 5 6". No issues. Go get one, or two.
I have a few. Win94 in 3030. Rossi 92 and a Marlin 94. All have a short lop.
Try one you'll like it.

5'-9" here and I shoot a Beretta 682 with a 14" LOP.
I also shoot a Winchester 94 trapper 44 mag with a 13.5" LOP, Savage 1899 with a LOP of 13" with no issues here. You can always buy after market stocks and have them shortened to your needs. Give it a try.

Mine have about a 13.5" LOP. You will adjust to it. Then learn to love it.

My wife is 5.4" and it fits her perfectly and her the most loved gun.

There are a number of Rossi shooters here who really like 'em. Thinking you'd like the Rossi '92 in .357/.38. A most fun lever gun.

The Rossi ‘92 is plenty short, and those 16” carbines are loads of fun!

I’m 5’7” on a GOOD day, and prefer short LOP, but I’ve never found a lever action that was too long for me.

My rossi 92 is the 24in hex barrel and it's in 45LC. I love it. I'm 5'6" so that gun doesnt feel short to me lol

Look at Boyds, Midway, Natchez, Ebay etc. There are factory and aftermarket replacement stocks out there.

Take the original stock off and put it away. Get replacement and cut it down for your LOP. Then go have fun!

If needed in the future, put the original stock back on.

From center, just above the heel of stock to center of trigger, my levers measure:

1. R92 - 12-3/4"
2. B92 - 12-3/4"
3. M1894 straight stock - 13-3/8"
4. M1894 SBL curved stock - 13-7/16"
5. M1894 FG curved stock - 13-5/8"

...hammers cocked, which bumps the trigger position rearward maybe 3/16". (all chambers were empty)

Why bother???? If i read it correctly the OP needed 12.5 LOP. R92 has it

Doesn't Browning have youth models as well? Not in .357 though.
