Live in desert valley/pass area and wanna have an ongoing shoot set up?

Hey guys, I'm interested in identifying how many gunners we have out here in the desert valley or pass area. This means essentially any place east of moreno valley and redlands. for example Indio, palm desert, Palm Springs, DHS, la Quinta, Cat city, rancho mirage, cabazon, banning, Beaumont, Yucaipa, calimesa, hell even Redlands or highland. It would be awesome if we could get together for a scheduled reoccurring shoot here at the indoor in Beaumont or Outdoor banning or one of the eastern more desert ranges. I know I def miss out on the other IE shoots due to them being way far west of us. So who's likely to Partake? We can get a discounted pricing going on for a dedicated larger grouping. I guess just your name and city of residence would work to see who we have. Or if this question has been asked before where's everyone meeting up at currently and when?

A groupf us shooters get together every now and then in THe Coachella Valley. We shoot out in Indio Hills. Open desert. Now that ammo is coming back into the stores we are going to set something up, the weather will be cooling off and more guys will show up. Send me a PM.

Indio hills seems pretty far from me, Im stuck in the middle, since I just moved out here to hemet

I'm in Beaumont and frequent the indoor range on occasion. I prefer the hills on the south side of Banning. Used to take sunset but found another way which is mostly paved and you get to avoid the muddy areas.

Members are $5 and non-members pay $10.

Individual Membership =$50
Family Membership = $75

From the site:

The range layout consists of 10 shooting lanes, covered, with benches and room for standing or prone positions. Portable target stands are available to utilize at the 12 1/2 yard range, with fixed stands at 25, 50, 100 yard marks.

Rifle - Fixed Targets Stands at 25, 50, 100 yards With Bright Orange Steel “Clinkers” at 200 and 300 yards.

Pistol - Fixed Targets Located at 15, 25, 50 and 100 Yards.

10 Covered Shooting Stations with Seats and Benches for Both Rifle and Pistol.

Rifle and Pistol
Regular Hours (Mar - Oct):


Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Winter Hours (Nov - Feb):

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
from 9:00am to 3:00 pm.

Fees:

$5.00 per shooter for members, $10.00 per shooter for non-members.

The range is reserved at times for monthly rifle/pistol/shotgun matches or special events.

Please check Schedule of Events or call for monthly updates.

.22 caliber rifle match is on the second Saturday of each month starting at 8:00 am.
Rimfire/Center Fire Steel Challende match is on the third Saturday of each month starting at 8:00 am.

It also looks like we should move our get together to either the 1st or 4th Sat of the month due to the rimfire and steel challenge having priority of lanes. I would hate to have someone drive far away to not be able to shoot.

Live in Beaumont as well, I haven't gone to the Beaumont indoor range, seems like a bit too many rules on ammo for our trying times on ammo prices. But maybe since I would like to have my wife shoot our 22s a bit more.

The "Range" in Beaumont is a good place to shoot very clean Casey the owner is a nice guy it is family run I have had no problems there. As far as Ammo he does not want any of the Wolf,Tulammo or any steel case Ammo most ranges have the same rules as he does they do ask to see what ammo you are shooting I was shooting Remington 9mm in my Glock 17 and my Ruger P89.

Maybe its a county/city rule thing because Bass Pro you can shoot steel and pick up your brass.

I just have an issue that the "Range" does not allow steel (which actually I am fine with good guns deserve good ammo) but also does not allow you to pick up your own brass. Seems to me one or the other, no steel cool; so I can pick up my own brass? Ah no you can't do that either - so we make sure all the cartridges are reusable/re-sellable - okay well played but again with ammo prices and availability with where it is those rules make it a less desirable place for me to go and shoot - which is a shame because I live less then a mile from them.

And they don't allow you to shoot 22.

Riverside gun range will let you collect your brass and shoot 22cal just no steel case ammo.I don't like it not being able to collect my brass as well.

I will call the HDRGC to make sure nothing is going on that weekend in terms of events.

I will ask what their brass policy is.

I'm attending. I will try to see if I can bring a coworker. Haven't called HDRGC yet though. The club calendar says the range is open and clear of events that day.
