Default Apprentice hunts

So I'm a total newbie, and still waiting to do my first hunt. But I did some searching and couldn't find the answer online.

I was looking for some apprentice hunts and I see:

JR only
Family
JR Required Family
Women's
Mobility Impaired

I'm just trying to find out what these mean? Is Junior for kids or new hunters? And if so, why are there no options for new adult male hunters who have no idea what they are doing haha?

That is what I thought.

Well, it appears I was allowed to register as a 1 person party for a family hunt. So I did that. Hopefully, that is allowed. Again...sorry for the rookie question.

If no mentor (family member, friend, etc.), your best option may be a guided hunt. Could be $ we’ll spent, helping to get you on your way.

Put in for the duck draws in your local area. If you get drawn, post up here and someone will join you.

The only apprentice hunt for adults that I know of is the Pheasant hunt.

https://nrm.dfg.ca.gov/ApprenticeHun...ViewHunts.aspx

It's free, and put on by Dept Fish and Wildlife.

If you just got your hunting license it's basically guaranteed.

I have a deer tag for D13 in the LPF in the North of Ventura County. I will be going with a mentor and learn. We haven't gone up there at all yet, but that is where he goes and has many times.

I'm also open to tag along with anyone for anything. Even it means just helping you carry meat. I just want to learn. As long as my schedule permits and it's relatively close. I'm interested. Still, want to get some Cottontail, but I was going to wait till it cools down a little bit. I have a .22 and a 12 gauge.
