Default Range Report: CZ Kadet II 22LR, must have for CZ fanbois

http://cz-usa.com/product/cz-75-kade...-omega-system/
The CZ 75 Kadet conversion kit is a separate accessory for the CZ 75/85 pistol series allowing the firing of .22 LR caliber cartridges.

you can buy Kadet around $400 from some online stores. I got from BudsGunShop at $395.
Kadet needs little fitting to slide in to frame.

accuracy at 25 yard, with Federal Premium HV
Kadet has great accuracy because Chamber, Barrel, Sights are always fixed. same as S&W 41, BuckMark, Ruger.

at 100 yards, I thought CCI Mini Mag 36grain keeps accuracy for long range.
24/30 for 100 yards half Ram, I saw several flyers by ammo? maybe 36 or 32 grain match HV ammo can have better score.

Excellent little .22lr plinker/trainer. Very reliable as well. I’ve had one for about 4 years now.

Define "little fitting"?

You have to file the barrel lug, and frame rails on the adapter to fit your frame. Basically the only stationary parts on the adapter since they are a little oversized.

Filing on the frame rails of the 22 slide adaptor or the frame rails of the lower?
If you get a chance post some pics of the spots to file. Thanks.

On the Kadet slide, Area A (less typically) and Area B (more typically) may need filing:

Thank you for image,
I just stoned Area B only, Area A did not need fitting.

Couldnít agree more on it being a must have. Mine now rides permanently on a cz75b. We bring it almost every range trip.

On mine, area B only also, and just a few licks. Mines really nice and tight fitting.

I used to think they're a waste as $400 would've bought a lot of 9mm ammo. Then I found one on Gunbroker already fitted on a CZ75b for a song. Now I'm in love with it! Hard to choose between the Kadet or the Ruger Mk4.

I was lucky enough to pick up a factory built complete Kadet pistol a few years back from the marketplace. It’s my understanding they discontinued the pistol in 2012(?) or so. Chews threw anything and very accurate, it’s my favorite .22 pistol at the moment.

I really enjoy my Kadet 2 kit. At first I had stovepipe issues with most brands ammo. I put a new extractor in and in doing so I noticed a few burs on the original extractor and a fairly large bur in the channel for the extractor on the slide. I cleaned them up with some light stoning. It worked like a dream from that day on. I shoot mainly Armscor 36hp as I have a large supply. I use it on both stock PCR and 75 BD. I also run it on both complete CGW pro packaged SP01 and 75 B SA. Those two run 13 pound main springs and extended firing pin with zero hiccups. I will be shooting it tomorrow even. I have heard people comment both on liking the gun dirty and clean. I run in the clean group.... Oh I put a F/O front sight on so I can see it better also.

When I first got mine I was having a lot of stovepipes but I just kept shooting it and they have gotten less and less. Sunday I took it to the range and only had 1 SP with 150 rounds. love this gun fun and very accurate. It's the only 22 pistol I use now that's why I'm selling my Buckmark.

That's good to know as I've been on the fence about what 9MM/22LR combo to get for a decent 22 conversion kit, was considering the Sig P229 +kit, 9MM 1911 + Nelson Arms kit or the CZ + Kadet II. I like that with Nelson and CZ the slide is still steel versus zinc or aluminum. Looking at the pics here and the responses are swaying me to the CZ combo now as it's also the best priced of the three and probably the best looking too.

Nelson Arms 22LR kit looks like blowback, it should have great accuracy. and all steel? very attractive
Also I was thinking about P226 22LR kit, but it is short recoil design, maybe bit less accurate than blowback 22LRs?

I just got a new Kadet slider fit to my SP-01, and wow! It's super fun to shoot and is extremely accurate and reliable. Great for trigger practice. I definitely don't feel as bad about moving to .22LR to save some $$ at the range. Worth every penny.

I also recently ordered a CZ 1911 conversion kit [Edit: Sig 1911 Conversion Kit] that they're blowing out online for $150. It looks very simple to modify so that it will work with my [non-Sig] Series 70 pistols. (thanks Youtube!) I'm crossing my fingers b/c I'd really love to shoot my 1911s more.

Are you saying that CZ makes a 22LR conversion kit for a 1911? Please post a link to your blow out. Thanks.

Mine worked just fine right from the beginning. the only ammo it doesn't like is the Mexican Cascade brand but everything else feeds and functions just fine.

I have .22 kits for my 1911s and my Browning HP. I enjoy shooting all of them with the .22 kits as much if not more than with the centerfire cartridges.

Sorry, I had CZ on the brain, I meant Sig. Here's the link: https://www.sigsauer.com/store/1911-...rsion-kit.html It shows sold out here, but I think you can find it elsewhere too.

Here's the Youtube link for modding the kit: https://youtu.be/isGLgi6lecE
