Yes, I converted the lower to a registered receiver with full auto sear. It's on a Form 2 here in Michigan.

I'll make it to CA one day and we can go waste some ammo for a good cause.

Here's a few more I built. I have a .50 Beuwolf pistol in progress for a California client. I'll post pics of that when I'm done.

Can I join in too? Here is my newly acquired 80% Receiver with mis-matched Magpul parts. I am building it in 9mm first I think, if not I will go for a .223 upper instead. Just need to finish milling it as soon as I can get someone to show me what to do

That's what I was thinking since it had no internals in yet. Just used it as a prop

These Diablo Uppers are really nice. I just started carrying them. The Pistol Muzzel Device does a great job dealing with the excess flash you get with a pistol, and they are Piston Uppers rather than Gas so they are very reliable. The stainless 1:8 twist barrels can handle match grade ammo...all very high-end! A bit pricy, but the specs are amazing!

AR15 Pistol .22 conversion buttcaps just about finished if anyone is interested.

Caps tighten via 1/2 inch hex from inside, anodized in Black once completed

IIRC, constuctive possesion only applies if you own the pistol uppers and a regular ar without owning an ar pistol .if you own a pistol then you can have spare parts for it and your standard ar.

My CMMG 9mm Pistol Upper came in today. CMMG is building this stuff for us very quickly. I ordered it only 1 week before it showed up. Amazing given the AR craziness these days. If anybody wants one like it, I have these uppers and the conversion blocks for sale on my website along with a 16 inch 9mm upper that has the same turn around time.

UPDATED PICTURE W/ REVISED PARTS

- CMMG 7.3" 9mm Upper w/ A2 Hider
- Red River Tactical Pistol Lower
- C-Products Top Drop-In 9mm Magwell Conversion Block
- YHM (I think) Pistol Buffer Kit
- Hogue Rubberized Grip (of all the grips out there these fit my hand the best)
- KNC Anti-Rotation Pins
- Chip McCormick Match Trigger
- Midwest Industries Carbine Length 4-Rail Handguards
- Magpul MBUS Flip-Up Sights Front and Rear (tried Midwest Industries first but was surprised to find I actually like Magpuls polymer sights better for this build. Mostly because they are so light weight but also because they really work well when you're face is this close to the rear sight.)
- Magpul Enhanced Aluminum Trigger Guard
- Magpul Low Profile Ladder Rail Covers
- Ambi Safety
- Prince50 Bullet Button
- C-Products 32 Round Magazine that I blocked off and is now a 10 round magazine.

Thanks for all the information on how to do this. If not for this thread it would never have occured to me to build an AR pistol, or even that I could.

You can ramp any 9mm bolt and use the standard trigger....Looking forward to seeing pics.

I am not sure what would be involved with "ramping up" a bolt and carrier. But I am pretty sure it's a lot easier just to get an upper that comes with a bolt and carrier that can use the standard trigger without any work being needed. The bolt and carrier are such critical parts. When stuff goes wrong with a rifle, it usually involves them, so I am not sure I would want to mess with them. I would much rather just buy the correct one in the first place. Swapping our gas blocks, handguards, stocks, sights, flash hiders, and yes even a barrel don't scare me. Messing with a bolt and carrier beyond breaking it down and cleaning it does. Not only are they not cheap, but most the safety issues pretty much revolve around them as well.

Drive down to Irvine and go to On Target. Bring your own cheap 223. You do need a rifle permit though (20bux).

Never heard of a "rifle permit". Is that a range thing? They make you qualify to know you're safe? I would not have a problem with a range running you through some safety checks. I've seen some real idiots on a range before. But I have never heard of them doing so. More should.

Yah, its a range thing. They are an indoor range that allows for rifle calibers to be shot there, but they want to make sure you're competent.

Quote:
On-Target has a standard policy (as do most ranges) of allowing all pistol calibers
and rifles in pistol calibers. We also have the ballistic backstop and therefore allow
centerfire rifles up to .458 magnum to be shot here. We require that a centerfire
rifle caliber shooter attend one of our classes (over 450 so far) for additional
safety instruction. We hold those classes each week on Sunday morning at 10 AM
and the cost is $20 with a “Rifle” permit issued to each shooter. Without this
permit one cannot shoot them here. We also try to work with shooters that cannot
do the Sunday classes and will hold classes at other scheduled times – call for an
appointment.

Now if they let you take a test to see if they will let you work with your handguns from the holster rather than the bench...their stock just went up 100%. I'm a Front Sight guy, but I'm rusty as hell because I can't practice the right way here. So when I go back their for more training I spent the first few days getting back upto speed, and ironing out the bad habbits. Really frustrating. By the time I leave I am bad *** again...but that only lasts for a few weeks then I get rusty. Getting yelled at for firing a controlled pair followed by a very brief pause (to see if if more force is needed in real life instead of it being muscle memory) and then a head shot like I was trained also gets annoying. They want you firing one shot, long pause, another shot...that kind of training will get you killed if it becomes muscle memory and you do it when your life is on the line. You have to train the way you would do it if your life was on the line.

But all of this is completely off the original topic...so I will stop ranting now!!!

Nice Pistol.

ETA: Dirtracer, where do you shoot, maybe I can tag along sometime and try out your eotech? I'm undecided if I'll get an Aimpoint T1 or eotech.

I usually shoot at Inland F&G or out to barstow. I don't take the pistol out much though because it draws to much attention at the ranges. I'd be happy to meet up and do some shootin!! What about you?

Try out burro canyon shooting range in Azusa and rent a private range. I take my Diablo and evil rifles there all the time and they are pretty cool. Just no magnetic ammo (wolf).
