yes -
Walther PPQ M2 9mm - one is my edc/ccw daily carry. other is my backup/nightstand gun. I didn't want to risk the chance of not having one, should one wear out, need a backup in case I ever get to shoot competition, or God forbid I need to use it to defend myself/family and it gets confiscated. I have the Dan Wesson Valor & VBOB too, not sure it counts as having 2, but close enough. |

I don't currently, but will probably be getting another Glock 29 in the near future. It's my carry gun 99% of the time, and I'd hate to be without it if I ever had to send it in for repair, or it got lost in a boating accident or something. Plus, it would allow me to leave one in my emergency bag. And if I was going into a reeeeaaaallllly sketchy area for some reason, a G29 might serve as my backup weapon for my G29 :P

I own 2 XD9's and 2 GP100's. The dupes are unfired and will eventually be given as gifts to my kids. Got a great deal and decided to buy them and put them away for the right time.

No same gun, but I tend to have spare parts for each gun just in case..
extra extractor, recoil springs, etc..

Like I have an XD9 and an XD9 compact. Not the exact same gun but I can interchange parts and mags while allowing me some flexibility of form factor.

I sold off many of my multiples if a good enough deal I would sometimes own 2-3+ of same gun. What I do have is variations of same gun I think I'm up to about 9-10 Makarovs right now as an example but most are different variations, contries of origin, chamberings.

Back when I shot USPSA I had 2 very similar open class race guns. They shared the same mags and ammo. Same compensator, trigger action and C-More red red dot sighting. Now I have one tuned for 38Supercomp and the other has the extractor tuned for 38Super because both case are basically the same except for the 38Super has an actual rim.

I have a pair of Ruger New Vaquero Bisleys as I do Cowboy Action Shooting and need two six guns and having the same gun is a lot easier.

At Least Two of Everything
the newest pair in our family;
well known not a glock fan but this I couldn't pass up.. Mrs. Bee and I just picked up her first duty weapon and another turn in.. first two glocks we've actually owned.. $345 ea otd [incl. gun price, tax, shipping, and dros] G23's w/n.s., three mags, and original cases and stuff.. originally only interested in her duty gun.. but when she told me how much I told her to buy another one just for gp.. both excellent condition with very little holster wear.. now time for some dual wielding.. (5) AR15 rifles (3) model 183 Mossberg .410 shotguns (2) JC Higgins 12ga shotguns (2) Browning BLR .308 rifles [one Belgium, one Miroku] (2) Marlin 336 30-30 rifles maybe a couple of others.. from the recent similar thread; Quote:

I have two of everything because I like to dual-wield like Chow Yun Fat. I use one eye to aim each gun and never miss.
Seriously though, I don't have enough money for two of anything. I don't know how those Mormons do it. |

XD9 (two service models, one subcompact) CZ75b (two 9mm, one 40 fullsize, one 40 compact) Several 5.56 AR's - each with tweaks for different uses Two 308 AR's - basically identical except color scheme, his & hers Two Mossberg 590's (one with shorter stock for the wife) Two M1 Carbines (one stainless) Several Yugo Mausers (collection, with subtle differences the average person would never notice) Several Yugo SKS (used to be our SHTF battery, now considered "B" tier fall back guns) Planning to acquire a second 10/22 because I would like a takedown in addition to the limited edition one we have that's "too nice to bump and scrape around at the range for an Appleseed course". Reasons for multiples: Two is one, one is none You have a spare - such as if you are going to a shooting event, and your primary takes a nose-dive (it has happened to me!) you have a second waiting in the wings just in case. By the time the first one wears out, they might not be making them anymore. How nice is it to have a second one, brand new, waiting in the wings? You can go out with a friend and both be shooting the same exact gun. The usefulness of all your accessories (holster, mags, etc) remains if your primary gun is in the shop.

Man, that guy could've avoided the next 28 rounds if he'd just fallen on the ground after the first 2, why did he keep flailing his arms around trying to catch his balance??

Two identical G23 Gen3s, three RIA 1911 Tacticals in 9mm, two S&W Shield 9 non-CA models. The Glocks share a couple of conversion barrels and give me the flexibility to use .40, 9mm, or .357Sig - and when I bought them, it looked like there might not be anymore.
Bought a RIA 9mm 1911, got two more before SSE ended. Wife and I both carry Shield 9s. |

I have at least two of every gun I own. Many guns, I have three or four. Here is the logic.
1. One is just crazy. One is none. 2. You need to have a backup. Two is one. 3. What happens if my backup breaks? I need three minimum of each gun. 4. I'm not a "minimum" type of guy. Better have four. There you go. Simple. You need four. |

2 Garands; 1 Graduation present from college, 1 to shoot a lot.
2 Colt Commando revolvers; because I like them. Not mine, but virtually identical.

I don't yet but I've been thinking about buying a few of the same just to have on hand for SHTF to outfit family, have redundancy, trade if needed, etc. Would probably go with M&P's in 9mm as I have three already (.22, 9mm, 45 ACP) and really like the platform.

FYI The Colt revolvers is a "commander" whereas their "commado" is an M4 style AR15. (I used to have a 4" Commander) I'm sure it was autospell that got ya.

you're incorrect about both the Commando and the Commander handguns.. the revolver posted above is a Commando.. [btw, nice job GillaFunk having two of them ] and this is a Commander, CLW to be exact..

What is a Colt Commander revolver? Do you have 2 of them?

I have two Ruger single six pistols. Both were purchased by my father, one for me and one for him. He ended up giving me his years later. I own three Ruger 10/22 rifles purchased over a 20 year span.

Just kidding, but you could almost say that buying 1911s is just buying variations on the same gun. (I am so guilty of this)

Yes, 2 glock 17s. One gen 2 and one gen 4 last year for the sse. Actually like the gen 2 better since it is well broken in and it was my first gun I ever bought over 20 years ago...ya..glock 17 is probably one of my favorites so I bought 2. Think Gen 4 is a little hyped on the marketing side.
