Rock Island Armory M206 6RD 38Spl 2" Barrel
Thinking of getting one, Turners has them for 249.00 - Any thoughts? I don't want to spend a bunch of money on a wheel gun, I have plenty of solid semi-auto handguns that work perfectly...Just saw this and thought I might like to add an ugly gun to my collection

I haven't shot one but to me I think it seems like one of the better lower budget handguns, especially if you can't take the ugliness of a High Point.
But keep in mind even though it's a close copy of colt detective models it's not the exact clone and parts will not interchange. On the plus side it's a six shot rather then five rounds like in most concealed snubby revolvers. on the negative side I believe it's all steel gone so it's not going to be lightweight. |

$249? Buy it! It's one solid snubby. All business and no glamour with lifetime warranty.

That would qualify as a ugly gun. Turners has the S&W Model 637 for $419.98 and I like the one I have. Most snubnose revolvers sit in a dresser drawer. So if you plan on shooting it a lot I would get the Smith. If shot only occasionally then the Rock. Another thing 38 Special ammunition is expensive compared to 9mm.
