Update:

All the lowers are done and one their way to Anodizing.

Barring any serious delay at Anodizing, we expect to have the lowers back from Anodizing end of February.

Thanks,
AT

Thanks Addax. That was a quick turnaround considering you had to dig into your own Addax stash of lowers to do it.

I can't wait!!!! Especially to see CGF get that $3k check!

I too was wondering if Addax would have any stripped uppers available once the lowers are ready to ship. They may hang on to any they have for thier own builds though.

We won't have any uppers ready for several months due to the focus on lowers right now.

Once the dust settles in the coming months, and we can get a clear idea on delivery for certain components and raw materials, we will make a run of uppers, and we still want to engage in an upper receiver group buy to help raise more funds for CGF.

Thanks,
AT

We will keep the Group Buy list handy, and as soon as we are able to get an upper receiver group buy started, we will give priority to the Addax-CGF Group Buy members.

We will offer two options:

1) Just the upper receiver with special CGF logo

2) Complete special upper receiver assembly just for this group buy.

We will be waiting a while before we kick off another group buy, especially when certain parts and materials are backordered anywhere from 6 months-12+ months.

Will you contact us by email or by bumping this thread up? In 6-12 months this thread will be pretty old I am guessing.

Yeah when there is a new group buy, it would be posted here in the Addax forum just like this one with all the details.

For option 2, would these be 5.56/.223 specific uppers, or a "custom order" assembly built on the CGF upper?

I only ask because I already plan on building a dedicated .22LR and a .50 Beowulf on my two CGF lowers.

I can't speak for Addax but I think he hasn't seen this message so I'll reply and they can correct me later if need be.

In past discussions when we've spoken about these group buys. The consensus is that it's definitly more simplistic/streamlined to offer one product instead of variations which complicates the logistics significantly not to mention the part availibility given the current market.

So I expect it will be one option. Hope that helps.

Yes, we will be offering one caliber (5.56) for the complete upper assembly.

I'm all in for option 1. Not sure with option 2, I know it's 556 but unknown configuration yet. Cool.

We are currently working on several 5.56 complete upper receiver ideas / spec's, and pricing.

Our goal is to be able to produce one special 5.56 Group Buy Upper Receiver Assembly at a reasonable cost, while being able to donate funds to CGF, cover our costs, and make the end users feel that they are getting something really special.

Nuts, I would have loved a stripped upper as my intention at this point is to build a .300 blackout. Might need to reconsider.

I am currently part of your lower group buy and definitely interested in a custom, matching, complete upper. At this point I have less than a half-dozen 5.56 builds, far less than I have 308's, so I think it only fair to increase the smaller side of the family to provide balance in my safe. Please keep those of us in the lower group buy posted on options for uppers! Thanks again, really like how your team handled the forging backorder issue. Quality service,

No, give them a call:
Sure Shot Precision Marketing
818-233-0239
They are open Tues-Fri 11-6 and Saturday 11-4.

Let them know you're part of the Addax/CGF AR lower group buy and you guys will need to work out the specifics of your engraving. You'll work out the engraving price directly with them based on the design you want.

Since the lowers are still at anodizing, you still have time.

Is this true for everyone that hasn't heard from the engraver? I spoke with Lale about getting my lower engraved while I was there and worked out the details of fonts and what-not. Not sure if that means everything is worked out or if I need to contact them.

My understanding was that the engraver had contacted all the members that had opted in but I could be completely wrong.

Addax, am I remembering this correctly? Should members contact the laser company?
