Due to an unanticipated system issue caused by having two different discount levels, I had to manually calculate and enter the discount totals for over 400 GB items to generate the coupon codes. After several hours of doing that I have to admit entering a semi-zombie state of mind.

We really wanted to have all the codes done by the close of the GB and traded off a little accuracy for speed. So my apology in advance to anyone who's code did not work the first time and had/has to be reissued.

I think considering the way this GB took off, and your handling if it on your end, no one can blame you for a couple mistakes.

At the end of the day, everyone will get to place their orders. That's what matters the most. You could've made the call 50, even 35 orders in and call it a day, but the customer experience was greater than what was manageable/anticipated. Glitches are bound to happen when things are done manually, so your efforts are appreciated.

Agreed. In addition, the constant communication and updates are great. I appreciate 80% Arms appreciating their customers. Solid customer service and a great example to other vendors.

Is the group buy over?

Come on that was funny, somebody was bound to ask. I'm bummed I was strapped in the project/hobby funds this month, but I know where I will be ordering in the future group buy or not, I'm thinking no group buys after this one. I know it's been mentioned, but hands down to 80% Arms for keeping their word and not pulling the plug early. Also, hands down to AAAslayer and those who kept the craziness under control.

There are a few coupon codes that have expired or expire today that have not been redeemed. If your code has expired, please PM me and we can renew the code. Please include in your PM your expired coupon code. Thank you.

Our group buy #100 customer took us up on the free custom engraving prize. Here's the lower fresh out of the laser engraver with his awesome family crest. Congratulations ROTCsniper!

That looks AWESOME!!! Thanks Alan and thanks 80% Arms. Looks almost too good to even build it out. I think I have to buy another just so I don't mess that one up as it's going to be the first one I finish and build.

Highly unlikely. I think this gb was more popular than they anticipated. Nonetheless, they delivered on every aspect from a consumer's stand point. Regular updates, prompt shipping and even back ordered items we're fulfilled (at least for me 2 weeks ahead of schedule). Also, the OP deserves the kudos for setting it up.

Amazon would not let us use their drone for same day delivery... Maybe a drone will be his next project.

Nothing planned in the near future. We went way over expected on this BG.

You're using an end mill? The ATF said it was like baking a pizza; you just throw them in the oven and press a button.

I completely forgot to get on this weekend and say this:

I am amazed at the packaging, quality of the parts, the anodizing, the laser engraving, the bulk and heft to the items. Everything looks so damn heavy duty! I love it! I'm comparing all this of course to my Modulus Arms kit I got last year, but there is just no comparison. The 80% Arms kit is freaking amazing, I don't even want to use it because it looks so good. I love the drill guide and the fact that it has so much more material than Modulus' version which allows me to keep my bits straight, less room for error and the bits going in angled, it's amazing! Makes for perfect plunge holes and overall finish. With my Modulus jig guide, some of the drill bit plunges were going in slightly angled because there wasn't enough "guide" to keep them nice and straight with a hand drill. Of course a drill press could probably do them straight, but the large drill guide with 80% Arms is a plus! Thanks Alan and 80% Arms for making a superior product! And packaging sure does go a long way! I absolutely love it!

I bought the Modulus jig a while back so I didn't consider joining this group buy. I'm a little sad I didn't join in after reading all the reports...

I bought a skill router since it was the only one available at my hardware store but looks like its a fixed base which seems like a PITA to use. So I am returning it in search for a good one. What do you guys recommend if I cannot find the Porter or black an Decker 80% easy jig recommends?

Please post up your router recommendations here http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...8#post16212788
