hahah. sorry you didn't prepare. Personally I still only buy ammo if its a good price, but I like to see people waste their money on overpriced stuff, that way when prices come down they won't have money to buy it and I can.

With all due respect. Didn't you just do that? OP wrote "don't hoard", you wrote "don't tell".

Buy it cheap and stack it deep. |

So we should all stop buying ammo so we can find ammo to buy? I see.
This is by far the most idiotic thing I've seen here in a long time. By far. |

ok, this was harder than I thought. You can't explain economics to people who don't remotely understand it.

If I walk into my gun store, where the range is, Blazer aluminum case 9mm is $29.99/box... so a 100 round range session including a lane would be $77... The $13.99 I paid at Cabelas three days ago helps that some.

I guess you can't explain keeping ones word to those who don't... example, your feedback lol.

Not going to happen OP. I finally felt comfortable enough in my ammo stock to take my son shooting this past Sunday. I will stock up (hoard) any chance I get in order to keep shooting and still have plenty of supply in stock.

lol why would I do that. Im not trying to fool anyone. My negative feedback is result of late replys of the other party. Not my fault.

I completely agree with the OP. I have a minor in economics, and I'm here to tell you that this behavior is irrational and counterproductive. As a collective group, we're acting like a bunch of emotional little kids and we would benefit from taking a deep breath.
Its very simple. If most of us show a little restraint then supply and demand get back in balance after a while, price gouging becomes non productive, and prices stop going up. Kids working at WM stop buying ammo before we even see it because they can no longer resell at a premium. As for whoever asked if we'd buy and leave some on the shelf, my answer is yes. That's what I did yesterday with 45 acp, and it's what I did last week with 357 sig. I buy only enough to replace what I shoot. I still have anywhere from 100 to 450 rounds of most calibers I shoot, almost all of it purchased prior to November and supplemented a couple of boxes at a time in an attempt to replace what I've used for practice. I have been forced to cut my practice in half because of the difficulty of finding 9mm, although finally I'm starting to see some again. Think about it. If you were against guns, what better way than to fabricate false panics and then sit back and laugh as a bunch of grown men run to the store and pay inflated prices for ammo until none is left, while screaming that the sky is falling? |

The current problem is not hoarding. That was happening before this Sandy Hook panic. You could not hoard if you wanted to right now. Not only is it almost impossible to find ammo but even when you do there are limits on how many boxes you can buy. The so called "hoarders" are the smart ones that are still shooting regularly with their pre-panic priced ammo. |

Not at all. Gas and ammo are two different animals. Gasoline on the grand scheme is not something that can be effectively discussed in a forum. There is an abundance of economics and politics behind such topic. Most of which most people will have a hard time understanding without sufficient education.

These kind of threads give me an idea. We should institute a "Ammo Hording" day where we all go out and Hoard ammo just to piss off the rest of the eejits that tell us not to Hoard (or as I like to call it, restock my shelves)...

On a federal level it has, look at some of the bills on our state level including restrictions on ammo and firearms. Nawwww nothing to panic about. I dont agree with the prices on ammo and I cant but anymore 556 because I refuse to pay a $1 a round but if people are buying it, then they are buying it. |

What an awesome thread... full of nonsense. So glad in all your wisdom you see it fit to give others instruction on how to bring the ammo economy back around. How about I give you the same advice and YOU stop buying ammo completely seeing I use it in the course of my job so what I need it for is more important than what you need it for.
Someone said Buy Cheap,Stock Deep... I say "out of you - not a peep" This will only come back to a normal price when we get these morons out of office. Seeing you are so well versed in economy specifics.. can you tell us how to fix the 4 dollar + gas seeing how no other aspects of production has changed... |

I can't hoard it. I can only buy a month's worth at a time and shoot it up in the same month I buy it.
