You provided links to pages that showed
LOTS of vulnerabilities in the OS, but nothing that indicated
Wide spread and documented effect on Mac platforms, which I read as "has had a wide spread negative impact on Mac users". Just because they exist doesn't mean they are all being exploited, even though they could be.
That being said, I've been using Macs for years (25+) and have never found a viruses or malware on any machine I have worked with or on. Yes, I look at porn, stream video and in general take advantage of what the web has to offer. I run ClamX, if I run anything at all FWIW.
