Default Car Decals

I want to know what your opinions are on displaying NRA, firearms, political, stickers, decals are on your vehicle. Specifically in the bay area. As this may or may not be around like minded individuals. I would have said Liberals. Around liberals. LIBERALS. But I still haven't gotten a straight answer on what a liberal is vs. democrat, and if either support the second amendment or guns. So decals it is I guess...
Oh and I did look up these terms in a dictionary and "of or pertaining to a democracy" doesn't explain this to me. Heh.

If i had some I would with pride. If my car gets keyed though, I am gonna be pissed. Not because of the scratch, but why the scratch.

Nra stickers? I got mine after joining the nra...I am debating a sticker that says" shove gun control up your (picture of political donkey or ***) except I do think that foreigners for example shouldn't be able to buy guns until they have citizenship, and thats technically a form of gun control. so not All gun control is bad in my book. I would like some calguns decals though...

I don't put any stickers or decals on my car. I just don't like them on there.

I don't put any decals on my car and go so far as to remove the dealer license plate frames they seem to always put on after servicing. Just not a fan of being a rolling billboard.

Even if I were a decal person, I think I'd steer clear of ANY kind of pro-gun stuff. I don't have a compelling need to advertise to the world that I own guns.

I agree with diveRN. I don't put the ads there for anyone. I love that I have the freedom to own and use guns, but I don't think that EVERYONE needs to know that I feel that way. Also, I don't want someone to have a reason to break in to my car looking for something or damage my car because they disrespect my beliefs.

There was a time when you could leave the keys in the car because people had enough respect for others to know that a) you don't take someone else's property, b) you don't mess with someone else's property, and c) you don't allow anyone to mess with or take the property of someone you know. Sadly, we don't have enough of that sense of decency and obligation to our fellow man today.

I agree with this user. That is advertising the fact that you own firearms and to please break in and ransack your home looking for them. Fly under the radar at all times.

I have never liked stickers on my vehicles. I pay enough for stuff, that I don't feel the need to advertise for them too.

I generally don't see the point of advertising your affiliations to the person driving behind you.

For me, personally, I don't favor many 'statements' on my vehicles but enjoy seeing others like this original one I saw last week en route to a Giants game.

A liberal is a person who subscribes to a particular set of ideologies, a democrat is a person who joined a specific political party. Saying that a liberal and a democrat are the same is like saying that all republicans are conservatives - and we all know that's not true.

I wouldn't go with the decals or stickers. I've had cars keyed because I had a "Support the Troops" magnet (I work near SF). Also, if you get pulled over, you don't want a cop to have a bad impression of you when he walks up - many of the more popular stickers give that impression.

I also don't understand why people feel a need to deface a perfectly good car with stickers and decals. They're tacky. Let the hippies have that crap.

Nope. Rarely ever on 880 and I haven't driven the Volvo since December when I got my new car. So, no, it wasn't me.

I put the NRA decal on my car - but I trimmed off the outer circle and words, so it is just a red dot with the eagle in the center. If you know what it is - you know. If you don't it isn't obvious.

I did it because I like seeing stickers on other folks car and think it increases the camaraderie in the community.

Well...I am extremely obvious!! I have 2 large magnetic signs that go on the side doors to my SUV. They say 2nd Amendment Sisters...self defense is a basic human right. I always have them on when I am driving around Santa Cruz, Soquel, Scotts Valley, etc. I have even gotten some thumbs up from people. But I wear a lot of SAS shirts and sweats as well and have surprisingly only had one negative comment.

Gun stickers aren't speaking to the liberal audience you hope it will.

No, they speak to criminals and tell them "I have guns in here or at home! Follow me and wait till I fall asleep or go out of town, and they're all yours!"

Or to cops pulling you over saying "Search me!! Search me NOW!!!!"

I don't put decals on my truck.

I live in Venice and all I see are Obama and Coexist stickers and I don't like seeing them. Oh ... and a lot of 'war is not the answer' bumper stickers, although I have no idea what the question is.

In any event, no decals on the truck. Don't wanna deface the vehicle, and I want to stay under the radar. I even pulled the factory TRD stickers off of the truck.
