Default Canyon Sportsmen Alliance

Looks like someone is trying to keep covert canyon open. Anyone know anything about this? Membership fees are pretty steep. Wondering of this is just to stall the foreclosure.

I would be surprised if they got many takers at those prices and such limited access of only 8 days a month.

$2,500 initiation fee for civilians? Then $50 ($100 if you're not one of the first 50 to sign up) per month for only 8 days of access?

The first five members to pay the initiation should at least cover the back property taxes.

I wonder if the owner ended up squaring things away with the neighbors who got the DOD to pull out a couple years ago. Could make membership risky.

I saw the announcement too. I was wondering what's the status on the property: If it does end up going to auction, would they refund the members? I don't have that kind of money lying round but even if I do, I know I'd be worried about forking it over when such uncertainty still hangs over the facility.

Hope nobody put too much money into this. Some Iranian group bought the property at foreclosure auction May 29. Apparently the former owner was served with eviction papers but refuses to leave and is still conducting business there while they all sue each other. What a mess.
