Took five months from initial purchase and through two transfer dealers.

AAC M4-2000. SBR was done a while ago (PSA lower and 10.5" upper with Magpul bits and Aimpoint PRO). Two $200 tax stamps.

Black Aces sells receivers, that can be built into an AOW, and complete shotguns. Black Aces does not sell AOW's as far as I know. This one required a form 1 and $200 tax stamp to build!

OK, I guess I don't get your point? It appears to me that BAT pushed the boundaries and got slapped down by BATF. Where would ALL of us be if no one pushed the boundaries?

This IS the "Nfa Picture Thread". My tax stamp says NFA on it. I posted a picture of an NFA item built on a BA receiver. I haven't seen another like it (yet).

Let's see some pics of your NFA items.

my point is that I don't support a company that the owner comes out and says "I've never shot an AR, so I didn't know that's how that worked. "

It sucks that the NFA restrictions even exist but pushing boundaries and poking the bear yet not owning up to it is kinda lame. Laaaaame

Does that 870 require some sort of paperwork and tax to obtain?

yes, it is a federally-defined AOW and you must have an approved Form 1 or Form 4 with the appropriate tax stamp to possess it.

Not mine, but I did get to shoot a full auto suppressed HK the other day.

I need to take some toys to the range now that it is cooling off.

Not too bad but for the price they ought to include the set. It's on my list to get.

Talk'n about NFA. Anyone know the cost of a RDIAS? Looking to pick one up as a christmas present to myself. Or would it be less to go with an M16 lower?

Items like that fluctuate by the hour. On average a steel RDIAS sells for about $27k but there are many variables that can affect actual selling price.

If you plan on shooting a lot then a steel RDIAS is almost bullet proof and you can move it to different guns. If you only want to collect then get a government issued Colt. If you want to shoot a lot on a budget then just get a converted AR15. Even bad conversions can be corrected easily and you can get converted ARs for as little as $12k if you are patient.

If I was going to buy a full auto AR I would go with the cheapest converted gun available that was not a married DIAS receiver. Bushmaster, Olympic, Sendra, etc are all fine and if they have issues they can be made fine. You won't treat it like a Faberge egg like a Colt that cost 2x as much.

I'm not in california any longer. I was hoping to find an RDIAS for less than 15k, guess that's not happening right now. I hear random prices from people whoa re supposedly selling them but I don't know if they are being real or not. I got a shop who can get me a converted ar for 10k. I guess I should go that way. And don't collect anything so I would spray paint it and treat it harsh like my other ar's.
