Salmon has been wide open in Santa Cruz since the opener despite the crappy weather...

So, one month ago I wrote an article on how fishing affects human health. The scientists have proven a positive effect on health. Since a person is in the open air, he gets the richest supply of oxygen, which has an excellent effect on the cardiovascular system. Fishing normalizes pressure and pulse. Why is fishing referred to sports? It useful for muscles. In this process, they receive a uniform load.

That is my hope for this year. Last year was 1 deer.

This year I drew a buck tag for SW Idaho and 2 antelope for a unit in Western Wyoming. I'm waiting for draw results for second chance tag for elk. If not, I'll get a regular tag for elk.

I'm recovering from spending 5 weeks in the hospital so that is the roadblock for now.

I'll be happy with less than my original goals given the medical issues of this summer.

I taught a newbie how to dive last weekend. He got his first Abalone in 20' of water!!! What a champ. First time diver, first limit!

All 3 of us got limits in less than an hour!

Still got my limit of abalone and tagged out for the season. Smallest this year was 8 1/2 inches. Biggest was 9 3/4"

Got this boy the last day of archery season, B1, a week before general. I drew an X1 for my second tag that I'm excited for in October. This deer was tagged right after the photo as I took the pic where he fell, down in a hell hole.

This is a true Cinderella story. Random person wins the auction for my RMEF banquet dinner rifle, puts in for the Nor Cal elk draw with zero points. Draws the tag! A few months later the season opens and I loan him a personal scope, then get his rifle sighted in at 100y with some dope data using factory Nosler ammo. He goes out the next day and manages to find a group of bulls bedded and sneaks in to 150. Game over for the bull and his freezer is full.

It is legit.

I'm guessing you've never had some phyco who doesn't agree with your position on a topic stalk your profile and use pictures you post to try and belittle you, I was on a site where I was posting pics of me and my kids hunting. This exact scenario happened. I will never publicly post another picture with either me or my family's face in the picture again.

The more you know....

33 yards in New Mexico, had 2 bulls at 15 and 20 yards, both over 350, no shots! Major bummer, but I brought home a black bear at least

My wife thinks I only have 3 guns

A zone skunk all year... till Friday morning...

Kicked up a nice 3x3 that never gave me shot. An hour later I find this little guy.

Shot him about 2 miles back. So we went back, got the jeep. Crossed a river

And loaded him up and headed back...

Of course we kicked up a 300+ lbs boar on the river bed... with no bullets in either gun.

We sat around the fire and shot rabbits with a pellet gun for the rest of the day...

Shot this 3x2 this morning. Drove onto the ranch and saw him bedded down 62 yards away with his back to me, laying in the pasture. Shot him just behind his left ear, didn't even know what hit him. Sorry about the graphic photo.

Default First year spearfishing

Started spearfishing last december. Went on a trip up north and landed my first white sea bass. It was on the smaller side but i was still stoked for this 21lber.
2nd pic is of 19in+ calico's. Next mission is to bag my first coyote

Idaho otc public land archery tag. 18 miles in two days on foot. Shot him the morning of the second day. Took 3 of us 10 hours to pack him out back to the rig. I couldn't be happier for a otc public land archery bull!

This is the exact spot we found him.

Elk hunting with your boys and miles of packing out meat is a beautiful thing.
November can't get here soon enough for me

Didn't get my first antelope until day 3, but finally figured out my stuff. Took 2 today. One in the morning at 375 yards (longest shot to date for me) and one in the evening much closer.

While we were out saw 2 moose, 5 muleys, a badger, and a host of other creatures. Antelope are hard to hunt as they move quick and at the slightest disturbance.
