I, as a citizen taxpayer in the United States of America. Firmly believe that "anyone" who takes an oath to Serve and Protect the Constitution of the US. And accepts monetary renumeration for the services they provide to that end. Deserve nothing less than the maximun allowable under the law if they break that oath.
Qualified Immunity be damned. I don't care if they are Cop, DA, AG, Judge, or Politician.
Everyone expects criminals to lie, cheat, steal, and in general be criminals.
When supposed Public Servants commit criminal acts. They undermine the entire premise of our system of Justice.
Everyone matters, Or no one matters. Every one deserves Due Process. Every one deserves a fair and impartial investigation of allegations of wrong doing. Everyone deserves a fair and impartial trial if the fair and impartial investigation determines wrongs were commited.
No one deserves trial by BSM orchestrated by self serving politicians.
And to quote a very close, long time friend of mine, who is a retired LASD Sgt.
"Nobody hates a bad cop, more than a good cop".
No bad cop should ever be let off the hook. And no good cop should ever be thrown to the Talking Head BSM wolves with premature claims of wrong doing. For political expediency. Without first determining for damn sure that he did something wrong.
