Default OC - Optic Ready From Factory

Has anyone been approved to carry an “Optic Ready” firearm with the RMR. Like Glock MOS models, M&P Core or the Sig 320?

The rules clearly state that sights and grips are the only allowed modifications.

The RMR is a sight, I don't see why that would be disallowed.

If you have to change the recoil spring to get it to cycle reliably, don't ask/don't tell - that's not what they're worried about anyways.

^ Yep. Optic ready from factory is fine.

Instead of providing a granular list of modifications not allowed, they just blanket it all as a NO, as they don't want a CCW gun to be "cool" and "personalized" like an accessory (AKA Instagram Gucci Glocks), as that takes away from the seriousness of a CCW.

Just like everyone else says, ask your IA in writing to cover your behind.
