Default Tube magazine popping out?

Hi, I have my grandfather's Marlin Model 60, and the tube magazine has popped out for the 2nd time since I've had it. I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and could tell me if this is possibly a missing part, a fix I can do myself, or something I have to take to the gunsmith. This is my main Squirrel gun, so I rely on it a lot.

If you mean the inner tube popping out of the outer tube, you can install an appropriate sized o-ring on the inner and it will create tension when the pin is in the lock slot. Alternatively, you can slightly bend the very end of the outer tube at the locking slot entrance point. I did this to my old 81, it did the trick.

Popping out like this from the receiver. Itís almost like it doesnít stick in enough to be retained in there.

looks like you are missing a cross pin see part # 38/39
you can find a nail the correct diameter and cut to fit

Roll pin or finishing nail. Easy peasy.

Actually. When I looked for pictures of the tube magazine and the exposed receiver, it doesn’t look like there are parts there at all, and the only time I see a band and pin are at the front which is connected to the front sight. Is it still those parts I’m missing?

That's the old style band sight. The outer mag tube is secured to it with a cross pin. Right behind the sight blade is a socket head set screw that holds that to the barrel.
Forgot to add, if the set screw is missing, and memory serves me, it's a 6-48 thread.

That screw is at least still there. John Myers, I think it’s because I have an old style one.
