Acc to this new article (2019 July 12), on 2018 July 01, San Mateo Co had 210 CCWs for a population of ~775k. It does not specify if those are only 2 year CCWs or include 3 year (judicial) and 4 year (reserves) CCWs.

In case there's anyone who lives in San Mateo Co (I don't) who wants to do something they can do from home to promote SM Co SO CCWs, just look at what these SoCal folk are doing on Facebook and do similar, but do it for the entire county and/or major San Mateo Co cities:
http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1507548

Plus, you can't get ready too early for the next sheriff's election. It's only 3 years away (2022 June) and the candidates have to file ~2.5 years away (2022 Feb, IIRC) and if, rather than being passive, you want to be active in identifying and encouraging a pro-CCW candidate to run, that knocks off another half year and if you want to undermine the incumbent's support to weaken them, that pushes it back to summer 2021 -- just 2 years away. Not much time to build up an organization large enough to swing a sheriff's election.

To see what it took San Diego Co Gun Owners to get Gore to change his Good Cause policy and start readily issuing CCWs, see: https://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/....php?t=1473169

Angry San Mateo PD website scrubbed of CCW info

It looks like the San Mateo PD website has been scrubbed of any CCW info, or at least I couldn't find any quickly looking over it. That is new and not good news.

And apparently my previous quote about Bolanos not renewing CCW's issued before his time may be bogus according to some well placed sources.

Are you saying this because of my previous post re. the number of SMCSO CCWs according to that article, or because your "well places sources" are now saying he's not pulling or just letting expire CCWs rather than renewing them?

I ask because I thought the number of SM Co CCWs in that article was significantly lower than what it had been a few years ago.

My sources are telling me that he is not pulling older CCWs - the count remains roughly the same, so no idea where the article is getting their info.

Any idea if he's liberalized or restricted acceptable GC, or kept it the same?

This is annoying. Can you set it's software not to post ads with every post you make?
