Default Hexmag 10/30 mfg after freedom week

I noticed new Hexmag 10/30's with manufacturers date stamp cast into the body indicating 4/19 or newer now have the baseplate riveted from the factory, clearly visible in factory package.
Packaging also has "RB10" printed on it underneath the "Series 2".
Not seeing anything posted about this so I thought it needs to be brought up.

Under details on the Hexmag website for 15 and 10 round magazines:
State / County / City laws and regulations regarding limited round capacity magazines continue to be implemented and/or changed on an ongoing basis. Because each of these State / County / City capacity laws can be written or interpreted differently, Hexmag has elected to permanently affix the baseplate on all limited capacity magazines. This includes the 10 and 15 round AR15 and 10 round SR25 magazines. The baseplate will be secured to the HexID restricting access to modifications and takedown. If you wish to use a custom color HexID on your limited capacity magazine, please make your color selections upon ordering.

Magazine capacity is regulated by SENTRY's patented True Riser® System inside of a standard size body which is designed to meet strict compliance regulations in specific regions of the United States.

TLDR: HEXMAG bodies are stamped with the date they are made, those born after freedom week will be 4/19 or higher.

Don't be dumb. That is all.

Not a hexmag vs xxxxx magazine post.
just posting the information for visibility so CALGUNNERS are aware that there are born-on dates on most magazines they buy.
In my opinion HEXMAG has been very supportive of our situation, and this recent change is an overabundance of caution on their part.

Yes, thanks for the PSA. Shame that Hexmag did this. Luckily I bought many standard cap during freedom week.

So can I still change the baseplate color on my legally purchased Hexmags?

Armistice, it looks like the baseplate is riveted through the colored section to prohibit easy disassembly, and would require drilling out the rivet to do that. You can order the color you want through the hexmag website if you want a riveted version with a different color.
I think the fixed length internals are sufficient for CA, and the rivets are CYA so they don’t have to re-tool each time a gun grabber state tries to one-up the rest.
Just keep in mind the bodies have date stamps, and to keep them separate.

Stupid to bother putting date on it because you can replace parts on a legal HCM, up to replacing the whole thing, as long as it's a one for one swap. There's a memo around somewhere.
Parachute. Used once, never opened. Small stain. Best offer.

Lets just clarify Hexmags are mediocre at best and another reason not to buy those junk mags. Magpul has been doing this for a while now and no one seems to be putting the heat on the overrated magpul junk anyway.

If you want real mags buy lancers
1)AR15 Aero Precision Skeletonized Lower
2)S&W 686 6in barrel ...686 No dash through 686-4
3) Saltworks M5 upper/lower set

Hexmag, Magpul, many other aluminum or steel mags have born on dates on them. it doesn't mean **** when it comes to legality of owning it. I don't see the big deal.
