Any recommendation for a good black rifle shop in or near Concord?

Friend lives up there and was asking (I'm in SoCal).

So far, he's only knows about and gone to Big 5 and knows only the FUD that they've told him.

Send him to City Arms. Across the freeway, in Pleasant Hill.

Don't forget Solar Tactical... In Livermore. And they had fair prices even when others were over charging early this year.

Mount Pleasant Arms in San Jose. $65 which includes the $25 DROS. Note they are home based and only available evening hours.

Will City Arms be open 12/26 or 12/27? I've been calling for a few days and nobody answers the phone.

Krausewerke Collectibles in San Mateo has a huge supply of used, C&R, militaria. I have gotten some great deals there over the years. Mike Krause has ordered a few new firearms for me as well, and handled an out of state transfer for me.

I suppose I'll be making some phone calls. Early in the morning works best since both I and the other party work graveyard.

Chris at digital-instincts came through for me. In and out in 30 minutes.
I'm very glad I was able to give one of my close friends who lives in a rabidly anti-household a nice AR lower before the end of the year.

I have been to most all on the Peninsula from Reed's, Target Masters, I&S, Gun Vault, US Firearms, Kurley's, Jackson Arms, etc.

My two new favorites are:
Mt Pleasant Arms (South San Jose)- Scores a 10 for customer service and pricing.
Brian Nussbaum (Burlingame) - Scores a 10 for customer service and location.

Really no need to go anywhere else!

The home based FFL are the best, the retail locations in the Bay Area gouges and plays into everyone's fear to sell their girly-man edition handguns. Buy the real thing and SSE into this F up state,

The worst of the worst are Bulleys, Canyon Sport, and Targetmaster. Avoid them like the plague.

These guys are ridiculous. Over priced to begin with and charge an extra 100 for SSE. Been to just about every shop in the east and northbay and the best hands down is Elite Arms and Supply in Manteca. Well worth the drive
