Very, very nice setup!

How do you like the AI AE? I'm seriously thinking about one of those (or maybe even the AI AW).

the AE is GREAT....! I would be nice to have a higher capacity clip other than 5. but with the price increse in '08 even the AE (which use to be the affordable version base around $2K) starts @ $3200. The AW in .308 is now $5500.
I still need money for good optics (budget was to stay with in $6K), so rather than going all out and get the AW & go with a cheaper scope. I opted to go with a balance of good scope/good rifle.

Straight up... ANY good premium scope is more exciting to me than AI rifles. I cannot subscribe to the hype there. PLenty o' bad guys been shot from looong way with Remmy on a Mcmillan or HS. Truth is, to land a cold bore long range, takes 50% shooter skill, 40% glass, 10% accurate and consistant rifle.

I used krylons ultra flat camo paint, cheep and easy to use. I just broke the gun down into its componets, taped off anything I didn't want painted and sprayed everything down with brake cleaner that needed paint. I primed everything with a self-etching primer, then applied the base coat color which was sand. After everything cured I reassembled the rifle then added the OD striping.

paint, tape, primer, and break cleaner came to less than 20.00 bucks.

After 8 months of it banging around in my pickup and general abuse, i'm quite impressed with the finnish. Theres only a couple of spots that need touchup mainly where it rubs in the gun rack.

He is probably just waiting for some high rings or the Larue SPR mount.

Baby Brother is a Sig P220 Carry

So far with a few handloads I've gotten sub .5 MOA with 155 Lapua Scenars and 175 SMK's. Now I've got to think about duracoating her - I can just imagine this baby in Crye multicam...

How well does the SuperMatch shoot? I've been told they still can't break an MOA.

I haven't got the SuperMatch quite broken in or really zeroed yet for any truly tight shooting.

I'm guessing that it can shoot better then I can, but I've only put about 65 rounds through it. However, when I have had it out at the range just shooting steel, there was no problem tagging the center of the steel out at 600yrds (but that's not really saying much with a decent rifle and a decent scope). I was able to pick off rocks and little bushes out where they use to have plates at 800 yards. (this was/is out at Angeles Shooting Range off the 210 in LA)

300 Weatherby sako action ~30" fluted Hart barrel (belongs to the old man but doesn't fit in his safe, so it sleeps in mine) -

If anyone has seen a gun setup like this before pm me, the old man was wondering who built it - he bought it at a show probably 10-15 years back.
