Default M44 stock or M38 stock?

Pretty sure it is M38 but the missing wood back toward the barrel has me second guessing myself

My guess is M38 stock. On my Type 53, the relief cut for the bayo is nearly five inches long, extending to the rear barrel band.

That to me looks to be and M38 stock, it does not have the large cut out for a folding bayonet.
