Default Shooting the 6.5 Creedmoor

Hey Everyone,

I'm pretty new to distance shooting, and I was wondering if I should be looking for any particular ammo when shooting a 6.5 Creedmoor through a semi-auto (AR-10 platform). In the past, I've seen certain .308 or 7.62x51 rounds marketed by manufacturers as "optimized for semi-auto" and I've always assumed that they had harder primers or chamber pressures / gas that played nicer with semi autos, as opposed to other rounds that maybe had high higher pressures that bolt-action rifles could handle but semi-autos could not.

I was wondering if there were similar loads for the 6.5 Creedmoor. I haven't been able to see any 6.5 rounds that specify whether or not they should be operated in a bolt action or a semi-auto, and was looking for some tips and guidance from the more experienced around here.

These days, I'll probably be likely to jump on any factory rounds I can get my hands on, seeing as how low inventory is around here. Is there anything I should avoid, or look out for?

For a very short time, Hornady sold 6.5 CM in the Black line, which was for black rifles. I bought a box or 2, but next time I looked, they had quit making it. This was a couple years ago, so maybe ahead of it's time. Hopefully they'll start it up again.

Nice, I'll keep an eye out. I know every rifle is probably going to have its quirks, but have you noticed any feed issued with 6.5 CR in ARs?

I was able to find some Hornady Match 140 gr. but the store limited purchases to 2 boxes / sku. So I guess it's 40 rounds for now. This shortage is a pain.
