As the CG membership grows there’s just going to be more people on here that don’t identify as Christian. With the Covid-19 you’re seeing moderate and even liberal people starting to purchase firearms. Why? People that were on the fence or never thought about buying a gun have now figured out that they need to do something to protect their families and themselves. I’ve convinced a few liberal/moderate people to become gun owners. I simply tell them that the government won’t protect you and it takes the police 5 minutes to reach you. I know a lot of people who have guns who don’t talk about it because of the negative portrayal of gun owners by politicians and the media. |

I guess the thing that gets me the most is that the so called liberal/moderate folks are very tolerant of actions/practices/statements from homosexuals, muslims, communists (China) and every other fringe group out there, but they tend to be harshly critical of anyone who identifies with Jesus. The fact that you believe in Christ and the Bible somehow labels you as an intolerant bigot while the other groups openly practice their hate doctrines with no criticism from the mainstream.
It especially makes no sense for women and homosexuals to defend Islam when that religion has zero tolerance for them. Don't they understand that?

God and the Bible expose the wickedness, corruption and love of darkeness by people especially those who reject Jesus teachings. they go against God and opposite of light because they chose to follow darkness. darkness provides temporary enjoyment and if they choose Christ, they'll have to abandon their wicked ways and be in submission to the Lord which they are not willing to give up.

Thanks! Sometimes we lose sight of the truth and it is good when God sends someone our way to remind us and to clear the leaves from the path.

I seldom ever mention faith here online. Suffice to say, the US is being attacked from within by serious evil. I see it frequently in many posts. Most are ignorant, some Theophobes, and some are just evil people.

I sing praises and give glory to my Lord and will do so as long as I live. I could care less if someone feels differently. In time every knee will bow down.

If being a Christian isn't a struggle, then chances are I'm not being the best Christian I can be.
I know where I stand, and I stand at the feet of Jesus, ready to do whatever he would ask of me. Right now, I'm trying to win people into giving their heart to Christ because I'd like them to have eternal salvation. Those who are openly hostile to Christ, hosting Drag Queen story hour, living life as if they are God, taking and adding to the Bible without care...they'll be dealt with justly. It's just not our job to do so. |

In a country where about 80% still profess a belief in God, I really don't buy into the belief many Christians have that they are some persecuted minority. Just because people object to having your religion thrown in their face doesn't mean that you are persecuted. Some folks act like Christianity should be given special treatment when we are a religiously pluralist country. Naturally, there is always give and take. Fundamentalists of all stripes have to be tempered-down because they're nuts. Take any good idea to extreme (even Christianity) and things get all out of whack. There will always be an ebb/flow to things. Christianity has been around for a couple thousand years. It's going to be around a while longer yet. Have no fear of that.
The fact that most people can't even name a religion other than Judaism, Christianity, Islam & Buddhism is way more concerning to me. Ideas are like genetics -- too much inbreeding makes for wonky & deformed thinking. Mixing is good & enhances survivability. Too few players in the spiritual gene pool of humanity isn't good, in my opinion. |

I feel like there are many like myself that are not as overt in their Christian walk here as they are elsewhere; it is not necessarily a flying covert but perhaps a feeling of less responsibility or pressing need to be openly professing it in certain circles. In social media circles as identify is more known and the way you live your life is more visible those forms of communication tend to have more exposure to Christian living and your personal witness.
There are plenty of moral, ethical people around here, and not a majority who aren’t, but I would venture to guess there is a small percentage who are devoted followers of Christ (there may be many religious fair weather western Christian culture influenced people though). I think the vocal stand out for good or bad as is usually the case. I am wholly committed and all that I am, have and do is for God’s glory. Hopefully my interactions with people always reflect that even if they don’t always speak that. I'm a Christian, but am amazed that so many here on CG and elsewhere are looking for political solutions to spiritual problems. The Christian community has supported Trump for his pro-gun, pro-life, and anti-gay policies but been unwilling to call him out all the rest of the hypocrisy. We as Christians have sold our souls for political gain and court appointments.

" WE as Christians have sold our souls " etc. Speak for yourself, not the rest of us ! I am not to be included in your opinion, point of view etc ! My soul IS in God's hands since I made Jesus Christ Lord, not anyone else.

I informed our pastor I will not be back to services that are online, less than normal occupancy, wear a mask etc but when normalcy resumes. I miss the fellowship and the loud AMEN calls when I see the time and place for them is there. He has organized a Ushaped parking arrangement around the left and right side and the rear of the building with a fm broadcast thru your car radio. Obviously much less than normal attendance numbers.
