Do you have them yet?

Did the QC come with the pistol and rifle tubes as well as a drain?

It comes with the small metering assembly .5 to .40 grains AND large metering assembly, 10 to 110 grains, as well as two threaded drop tubes. One for .22 to 7mm calibers and another for large hole, .30 caliber and up.

Do the metering assemblies both fit into a single drum? Or do you need to change out the drums?

It appears to be just one heavy cylinder/drum. The documentation detailed how you can change the assemblies while still having powder in the hopper. I hope this helps. I don't have it it with me as I am visiting family in AZ. But I can check it out tomorrow.

No that is good, In order to do that you will prolly be directed to put a case underneath it, and rotate the drum UP so that it is emptying into the case, then you can swap out tubes whilie it is in the UP position because it is preventing any powder from dropping down at that point.

RIGHT there it sounds like it is better than the Hornady LNL. I might have to get one now and I bet that with the RCBS customer service any extra o-rings (if their model even uses o-rings) might be free whenever you call...

I think you made a good choice.

Here is the documentation manual if it helps.

http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...90491159,d.b2w

METERING ASSEMBLY CHANGE If the same powder is to be used, but you wish to change out the Metering Assembly for another one that is preset for different charge, it is not necessary to empty the powder hopper. Dispense the remaining charge and hold the handle in the “up” position. Loosen the knurled Lock Pin Retainer, pull the Lock Knob and remove the Metering Screw Assembly. Align the Lock Pin hole on the side of the other Metering Screw Assembly and insert into the Metering Cylinder, release the Lock Knob. Try to rotate the Metering Screw Assembly to insure that the Lock Pin is in place. Tighten the knurled Locking Pin Retainer. As a precaution, dispense a charge and weigh it to be sure that you have installed the correct preset Metering Screw Assembly. CAUTION: If the handle is in the “down” position when the Metering Assembly is removed, the powder will flow through the Measuring Cylinder and spill out of the powder measure!

Wow. Not even any o-rings to break. Nice.

They have TWO up on the LNL now. This is certainly a much better choice to get.
