Seems to me that though commenters in here dont even think its worth $59, i think its plain wrong to let a Calguns brother or sister suffer like that so im willing to step up. Let me know how we can complete the transfer.

I have never seen that many M39's in one place, with one exception. I can't recall the site, but there was a video of some big guy in a small t-shirt huffing and puffing as he sweated all over the inventory and dried fired all of them repeatedly.

You have an addiction (like the rest of us)!
The prescription I found that works is to buy more guns! But it only last for a short time.

Whatever. I have some pretty ones, i have a lot more ugly ones. They are from all different countries and perhaps different wars. There may be others like them, but these ones are mine. I didn't buy any of this crap as an investment, or to impress anyone, but for my personal enjoyment.
If you feel the need for acceptance, or validation of your life's accomplishments through internet folks' approval, go ask your dad for a hug. I'll just be here with my guns... |

No offense, but I don't know anyone who likes those weird looking Limey peashooters. With weaponry like that, it is miraculous that they aren't speaking German in Trafalgar Square today.

Yeah, all these modern plastic/polymer firearms will be recycled long before reaching C&R eligibility.
Their prices will NEVER escalate. Unless off roster in CA. Last edited by Dan_Eastvale; 09-18-2018 at 7:43 AM.. |

I sold a mint unfired Polish Rifle for $450 three years ago. Now they are north of $1000 on Gunbroker. I bought it new for $300, so I can’t complain. I used the money to get a Garand from the CMP.

IF another large shipment like that came in, I doubt they would sell at 2018 pricing. just went on way back machine, "Special Select" not "Excellent" from Samco, 59/66's were selling for 429.99. Very Good with cracked stocks were 379.99. Big 5's pricing was similar, if large retailers were actively selling for that price, what gives with the 50% discount during the height of the gun craze? There are millions of bolt action and importable semis in Russian and former Soviet Satellite storage. Sam Cummings put the number at 25 Million in 1998. Sarco buyer said they have seen a couple million. Storage Facilities so large that you could start cleaning them at the beginning of the year and by the time you got to the end it would be the end of the year and time to start over. Sarco is actively importing Russian Mosins and stamping them with the Century Billboard on the receiver. Couldn't convince them that is not necessary and they can stamp discreetly on the barrel. I have to dig up the pics of the multiple matching 91/30 they had with folding Bayonets. Owners of Sarco are partners in Century. Here is one pic. Can't find others but there are more on the racks and lots of Yugos too. This was day after Labor Day. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk Last edited by capt14k; 09-18-2018 at 3:15 PM.. |

Unless you just pay way too much, or buy really lousy rifles, you won't lose money on these things. Even a few pieces i paid too much for years ago have appreciated enough to where i'd make money if i sold them now. That being said, i'm not selling them anyway so pffffttttt.

Aim Surplus has Mosins for $299. And they have the import numbers in the worst place imaginable, on top of the receiver. As expensive as these are I am sure they are going to keep going up. |

Probably not $69 more like $100. It was just recently on this very forum a seller had (5) 91/30 refurbs with accessories for $200 each that sat unsold till I believe he dropped the price to $180.
Sarco for months has had the 91/30 with folding bayonet $275 for round $375 for Hex. They sit unsold. Maybe Classic and Aim will find suckers to pay $300. Maybe not. I would say the average 91/30 refurb price is closer to $200 than $300. A year ago they were above $300 and many were saying $500 is next. The reason Century, AIM, and Classic have 91/30 is Sarco (same owners own Century) is bringing them in from storage of millions in Ukraine. Sarco buyer said there are warehouses full. There are not enough buyers to absorb what is sitting in collections there certainly are not enough to absorb thousands more. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk |
