lookin forward to it. Shooting from barricades is gonna be helpful for SCPRC, if last WEGC match is any indication.

Oops, just read through the thread and see that it seems filled to capacity, so I guess I'm out of luck. Well, let me know if anything changes, and someone drops out. It was good to see many of you up at the NorCal shoot, and I've been hoping to check out your shooting spot. M.45 mentioned this event to me and it sounds like fun, but I've been out all day until now.

Just so folks know, there 2 park and rides
on newhall. One at the free way exit, and one further down the street.
The one at beginning of this thread is one further down the street

Ok, just back now. sitting down.about 12-13 guys showed up. less than who committed..Anyway got a little bit of a late start making sure that people werent at the Park/Ride right off the fwy and then there were 2 accidents on the 14 where we just sat there for about 5-10 minutes...Anyway, arrived just before 10am. Only 8 shooters on the line so there wasnt a 2nd relay...every one shot great and everybody got hits out to 1k. As a complete noob I was not shooting, but watching how the spotter was calling out shots in MOA's and sometimes Mils and not one person asked how to convert that...will have to practice that since I do not have a working scope on the only bolt action rifle I have. Hope to pick up a Remy soon. Anyway, shot to 2pm and then everyone packed it in...Was very hot, over 100 though suprisingly not much wind..Lots of flies..Saw lots of cool toys and picked up a few things here/there...looking to attend another shoot...

The spotter was calling out corrections as a mix of Mils and MOA because he's a moron who's used to shooting everything in inches and needs to join the 21st century where everyone else shoots MilDots.

Was very hot! Thank you for the EZ-up. With that 6500ft D/A and the heat cooking the rounds, my dope there is signifcantly flatter there than other places. Still need to practice.

had a great time. got hits out to 750. Sometimes the plates were tough to find but I guess thats part of the fun. The only complaint was about the heat and we can't control mother nature. Next time I'm bringing my other gun. I got some black hills for it and I ich'n to give it a go.

You're welcome (from Joe and Randall too), I'm glad they turned out so well and that people got good use out of them.

At least I'm good for something right now!

We need to come to sac to get a break from the wind most of the time. We've been out at the spot holding 7 MILS of wind at 1k. Thats when its time to pack up and come home.

Yesterday the wind was switching back and forth, at 400-600 yards. The dust would blow different direction on consecutive shots no more than a minute apart.

My sincere apologies,
I didn't check the update on the thread that I was actually on the final list due to others dropping out. I was gonna come and watch as I said last week but didn't show up because I thought it was gonna be too crowded as per the June 21st post. My fault!

I will try to show up next month, I am sorry if I caused any inconvenience.

No worries.
Just bring that nice stick out next time.

This month worked out really well.
We had 3-4 people spotting, 8-9 shooting prone in the beginning to check zero and short range (under500yd) dope, then we moved some of the prone shooters over to barricades while the other prone shooters went out to 1K.

I have also accepted that there will always be people flaking out so I won't worry about head count anymore.
It seems to be a self-correcting problem.
The more people that sign-up, the more people that flake.

Now that everyone is getting 1K expereince I hope to see a lot more "tactical" shooters at the 1K matches at DM the 5th Sunday of the month. Devin and I seem to be the only ones from the "group" so to speak (though Brad did come last month) and it would be great to see a few more 30 cal shooters on the line.
