Default FFL have problem with DROS PSA 10YR matching serials

So, I ordered the PSA Ten-Year Anniversary AR-15/PA-10 Stripped Lower Receiver Set With Matching Serial Numbers, When doing the DROS paperwork, my FFL says the system is giving a error trying to process the matching serials. He contacted the DOJ with the issue, and he's telling me the DOJ wants to talk to PSA on the matter. Anyone else having any similar issues?

If they are different models they can have the same serial number. Many guns from a single mfg share serial numbers, especially Colts.

The problem is probably a bug (or if you are Kevin DeLeon, a 'feature') in the DES that will not allow the same serial number to be used on a single DES session.

I bet if he processed it on two different sessions (which would cost you another $25) it would work.

Here is a pic of a single Colt serial that was used on nine different guns.

Hopefully it's just a bug, don't want to pay another $25. I'm hoping it gets resolved soon.

If they are asking to talk to PSA - I am betting this will not resolve in your favor. PSA will not be able to convince them, if they don't already know this is legit.

And even if they acknowledge it is a bug, they will not fix it for years. We are still waiting for them to fix the bug that prevents C&R PPT handgun same day release.

What I'm saying is, I would not hold my breath. If you are real lucky, maybe DOJ will waive one of the $25 fees.

Please let us know how it turns out.

Thanks for the response, and I'll update on what happens.
