With the right combination of match ammo and shooter skills, you'd have no problem getting to 1k.

Look up Shortactionprecision.com for your scope and accessories need.

You'll be just fine, 200yd will be to easy once you get the fundamentals down. My buddy had a .308 LTR (20" barrel) shooting match previ ammo at 1k! I took an SPS Tac out to 1k, it sat in a XLR stock and topped with an Leupy Mark 4.

Just jailed a Remington SPS Varmit in .223 in Left Hand. Have a Bartlein 1 in 8 barrel on order and a Manner T2 stock (with Badger chassis) on order as well. Fitting that with a Harris bipod and a Bushnell Elite Tactical 3.5-21x50.

Cant wait to post my tactical 20 inch 30.06.
Going for super lightweight(relative) and compact.
Having a huge problem choosing a scope thats a good balance between size and weight versus magnification and features. Horus vision maybe...

Just got my bolt and stock back from Randall at AR15Barrels. Thanks for the work on the Bolt knob and DBM. Can't wait to take it out.

Thanks again Randall!

Very nice.....just got my r700 sps tactical and threw on a harris bipod...i am now looking for a scope. heard general rule of thumb is get a scope priced the same as your rifle.

I am also looking at SS scopes which I hear is awesome for bang for the buck. Anyone here can help me out. Sorry didnt mean to hijack.

I love seeing 700's rifles with the brass scarring behind the bolt opening. Little badges of honor.

Here's a couple of mine, the old and the new:

Tis one I just built, its a lefty 300 WM in an AICS stock. I also added the muzzle brake, bolt handle, badger rail etc:

And this is an old 308 bull barrel my dad gave me a while back. I ended up trading it off because I'm a lefty but of course now I wished I had held on to it for pure sentimental value:
