Default Browning SA-22

Has anyone done an Appleseed with a Browning SA-22?

Couple of downsides i can see:
No Sling mounts
Tube fed

I guess i could get a hold of a SpeeD loader, but I'm reluctant to start drilling at the stock.

Ideas? Would also be interested how you got on with it!

Thanks

I've only seen one SA-22 on the line. It did not complete the weekend -- tube feed jammed up early.

Ordinarily tube feed isn't a deal breaker; we get lots of Marlin 60's on the line and they do fine. Having no sling swivels is a more significant drawback. What we tend to do in those situations is rig up a field expedient sling using a zip-tie looped around the barrel at the end of the forearm. But if you're worried about scratches, you might not want to do this.

Appleseed is not an "intense" class by any means, but it is a serious class. Stuff gets dirty, wet, scratched, and broken sometimes. Just the way it goes. So long as you're cool with that, bring it out.
