Agree with others that the M1 Garand is my favorite to shoot - I have no fear of breaking it and being able to fix it.

In terms of owning, obviously the G43/K43 rifle - since I own over 40 of them - but they break so easily - and the spare parts are not cheap - not to mention the devaluation of breaking a matching part on such an all matching piece example - not really a range gun.

If only cheap French or Korean 30-06 ammunition were still on the market.......

Yeah, really like my Mas 49/56. Thought I might have issues as itís one if the .308 converts but itís been reliable so far. Happy to have it in .308 since I already have over 30 different calibers without adding 7.5 French to the list.

I like most of them but favorite overall has to be FN-49, probably my Colombian .30-06 but Venezuelan is right up there with it.

Favorite to shoot Ljungman AG-42b. It's a tack driver, and very little recoil.

For a battle rifle I would probably choose MAS-49/56.

Least favorite easily the SVT-40. Annoying to clean and not as accurate as the others.

My MAS-44 is really fun to shoot with commercial ammo but for a different reason.

The M1 Carbine is the most fun, handy light rifle ever produced. Just a joy to shoot.

Hakim, SVT-40, and SKSS Para.
On the Hakim, with the muzzle brake and added weight of a full MG-13 mag, a 25rnd mag dump on target, always makes me smile.

Amen to that. I too had to sell off my Hakim and other C&Rs due to my divorce. My collection hasn't fully recovered.

FN49, Garand, M1 Carbine and SKS in general.

Not bothering with SVTs or G43s, not because they aren't worthwhile rifles, but finding them in good condition is quite difficult. Hakim on the other hand, has a very weird reloading mechanism.
