Default San Gabriel Dam

I've noticed people parked along side the road by a fence that has a view of the Dam and they have high quality lenses. Is there something im missing here? Is there some rare species of bird that is nested and that view is the best spot? Every time i go up to burro canyon shooting park theres always a person or a group glued to that fencing. Gonna ask next time im up there but thought i'd ask here first.

They are probably looking at the rare Tere Hanges. They flock there this time of year.

There's a bald eagle nest in the trees. Couple of babies hatched last month.
