With .223 ammo prices so high that would be mission impossible right now. .22LRs are welcome though, CAT 303 is not weapon specific.

I recommend it, just as I would for a rifle but you could get by without one.

Stan,
I really enjoyed the Shotgun 101 class yesterday. Good hands on training, delivered in a straight forward way. Everything you need, nothing you don't. I'd recommend it to anyone. I'll be back for more classes.

Stan, if I am in town this weekend, I would like to try training with you. I have over 250 hours with FalconOps and ITTS, not anywhere close to Ramzar, but I try.

Here is what I would like to perhaps see this weekend or in the future, just suggestions:

1. Precision rifle (I know that class is held on 2/16-17, but I'll be with FalconOps that weekend so I will miss that class). I have a .308 Remington 700 VTR.

2. LowLight/NoLight. I only have a few hours of training on this, would like more practice shooting in the dark.

3. A class for my girlfriend and I to train together for home invasion or SHTF. She lives with me, she knows where the guns are, and she knows how to use them, but she needs more practice. What to do when you sense a burglar, what to do if I am not home to give her a gun, what to do if she is attacked in a parking lot or coming home, survival tactics for SHTF when I am not home, use of pepper spray or other defensive techniques if she cant access a gun, etc. This may not be something you can prepare by this weekend, but perhaps you can offer a class later this year that husbands/wives and boyfriends/girlfriends can attend together geared towards these subjects.

4. I would like to attend your SULE class that Caldito went to, but it seems I need CAT303, so perhaps CAT303.

5. COMMS (with radios and during silence), perhaps that is covered in CAT303 or SULE?

6. Executive/VIP protection (getting from A to B, concealment, blending-in, use of cover, extraction, team comms, vehicle transport and transfer, etc.)

7. Medical (suture class looks interesting)

8. What to do during a shooting (mall, school, movie theater, workplace). If I have a gun, do I use it to save lives, or is it better just to flee and not get involved? What to do when the police show up and you are defensively armed? What if the police appear to need backup, do you intervene and assist? If I have a chance to take out a shooter prior to the police showing up, do I take the shot, or do I flee. Etc. I realize there may be a lot of legal and moral issues invovled with this, so that's why I think a class is needed to cover this topic.

9. Concealed carry techniques

Haha, I know that is a long list. Just ideas. If anything, #3 above seems the most practical for you to instruct and for me to attend last-minute, and for others to have interest in attending. Hope that helps.

I will PM you with my information.

I meant to say I prefer #2 as the most practical for this weekend. Not #3.

I would appreciate your insight into the follwoing questions I have.

Any plans yet for pistol 101-202 classes at Raahagues past April? I do not see any listed on your website calendar yet.

Secondly, the pistol 101-202 classes you have listed past April at the ASR location are all evening classes. Are these geared towards evening shooting?

Lastly, will you be offering any same day back to back pistol 101-202 classes past April?

Thank you for your responses!

Hello,

I'll need to check with Raahagues for more dates past April. I do have 11 May scheduled. Right now I it is scheduled for Shotgun 101-202 but if I get an overwhelming demand for pistol I will simply retask it.

The summer schedule at Angeles is set that way to avoid the hottest part of the day. So we start from 0800-1200 then break and then have the second class starting at 4:00pm and it gets dark after around 9:00pm. Because of this scheduling, for instance I have Shotgun 101 on Sat morning and then Shotgun 202 on Sun morning. Ditto for those who want pistol; Sat evening for 101 and then Sun evening for 202.

Sucks for those having to drive a long distance but training in 100+ heat (especially up at the Angeles Eagles Nest) can become a safety issue or at least become a training detractor.

For #3 what may happen is too few people are interested in shotgun and I may retask as necessary, but again at Angeles there would be an afternoon intermission for the summer months due to the heat.

Understood and thank you for the prompt response!

Unfortunately the LA location is too far for me personally to participate in multiple day or long day training.

I'll keep an eye out on this thread for any June-August Raahagues training events.
