Hello,

Was wondering what ya'll think about the ammo shortages. I've only found 9mm ammo at one place and that was 38$ for 50rd. I've asked at a few places and they say they have people waiting at the door the day they get their shipments in. It looks like people are hording and I picked a bad time to take up target shooting. Anyone know any deals around? What kind of prices can I expect to find at the gunshow? I heard they were limited to two thousand rounds at the last one?

Yeah, you're late to the party. Local stock is gone or overpriced.

Not sure about the gun shows, but the general consensus seems to be the same thing... long lines, overpriced and limits being imposed.

Do you think the market will return to normal or will they just keep going up? I kick myself for not buying gold when it was around 400 because I hoped it would drop back to 350, alot of good that did.

Hello, I have some ammo mostly 9mm and .223 and I have consigned 1000rounds of 9mm and 240 round of .223 today. The ammo is at Smokin Barrel in Simi Valley

Also looking to but a cpmplete upper receiver for my good lower. I was trying to sell the lower for $650. Because it is Great and has a new
3 1/2 to 4 lbs. very good trigger on it. It also has ALL of the bells and whistles on it.made in U.S.A. Magpul stuff too!!

Cound not sell so I am looking to but a Complete upper maybe 16 inches? Anyone know of one? Call me. Also. might have some more ammo if you are really short and the price is right. In Simi Valley. Smokin Barrels gun shop is awesome! IMHO. You should give them a try. Let me know.l

I just scored some 9mm for $15/50 rounds and some Federal AE for $11/20 rounds at the local Wal Mart this past(3 boxes each as the limit dictates). Prices are crap to what I am used to, but I am trying to keep some new ammo coming through my shooting routine. Stopping by on my lunch break seems to have been the most successful trips lately.

It should. The manufacturers are sure to be running at 100% which will leave surplus after the craze. I just want some freakin .22 LR, lol

I found some 9 mm at island view enterprises, 50 for 22$
saw some 22lr 100 for 15$ at shooters paradise, seemed expensive to me....

also watched 6 boxes of 9 mm go at shooters, unsure of the price. Dicks told me fridays they restock and within a few hours 9mm .223 and 22 are gone.

how much was 9mm going for before the craze? I know i say 500 rds of .22 going for around 20. But i could be wrong.

super annoying, my wife's sig mosquito will only feed cci mini mag round nose and I can't find it anywhere. Wish it was like back in November where I could go pick up a case of 500 of them for $30 at wal-mart

I just picked up three (100) boxes @ $8 a pop at Wally World in Anaheim on Orangethorpe and Lemon. They had about 20 boxes remaining at 0715.

Not that it is any easier to find, but you might want try federal's 525 bulk pack. It's the only bulk ammo that seems to cycle just fine in my mosquito.

Stopped by Turners in oxnard today, they had around 13 boxes of 9mm Remington umc. Grabbed a box walked around the store for about 15 minutes checked again and it was all gone. MC means metal core right? So it's no good for shooting at the range? How about the steel case, I've heard they cause problems?

They had alot of 45, also some brass for 9mm and various other rounds. No .22 or .223. Walmart and big 5 were bare too. Almost three months later and still shortages, I keep hearing wait and it'll be available later.

While I'm here maybe someone can answer, while going to the range what is the law about carrying a handgun and rifle?

If I have my lock on the handgun do I have to have it in a locked container too? I know it has to be unloaded.... not sure what else. A rifle has to be in a locked container as well? And a hatchback does not count as a locked container nor is the glovebox. Is that for all of california or just ventura county? Thanks for any advice!

I'm assuming you are talking about transporting a firearm in a vehicle?

If you haven't found any CCI mini mags, I have 300 rounds of it I would be willing to trade for a bulk 500 round box of 22lr. I don't shoot my mosquito any more, and I have a new shooter that needs ammo for her crickett, which will eat the cheaper ammo.

Been looking for 22 lr ammo for two weeks with no luck. Down to my last 100 rounds of 22 long.

On the way to work today I stoped by walmart just after 6am and picked up 3 packs of winchester 22 lr hallow point 36 grain 555 rounds. payed $75 after tax. my friend got 3 packs of federal 30/30 170 grain soft point 20 rounds. payed about $50. There was a lot of 22 lr bulk packs the remington 225 pack, the winchester 333 pack, and 555 pack. All gone by now. I didn't have my phone on me so I couldn't make a post. My dad is going by to get some 30/30 ammo later today. Any idea where I can find 357 mags. or 38 special ammo?

heads up. just picked up 3 boxes of 357 mag @ $27 a pop in simi valley at the walmart. they still had a bunch of 223.
