Serious lack of Colts on the 1911 thread. Don't post a pic unless its the real deal.

Here's an oldie but goody. I believe it was made in 1930. Anyone got an older one? It shows it's wear proud, was made well, and is still a shooter.

My grandfathers Colt 1911 bulls-eye gun. 1960 CMP Distinguished Pistol Shot.
s/n: c142xxx - 1925. It was re-blued in the late 50's I'd love to find some original grips and magazine for it.

One out of a few Colt 1911's. When I get around to it, I'll post pics of the others....
This had some aftermarket and Colt Custom Shop work done including refinishing, ambi-safety, and new grip safety. Original Colt barrel, slide, and frame.

My Commander, purchased used with the scratch. I have since applied some cold bluing liquid and it's hardly noticeable.

Have you had any problems with those Pachmayer grips? Mine split after about 1500 rounds. Went to the Pearce under grip, with the Chip McCormick slimline grips over it. Same effect, but the rubber is only along the front-strap. Feels much more like standard grips as well, where as the Pachmayer grips felt really wide...
