Same day as the above I brought with me an older S&W pre 27 from 1955.

Below are 2 groups shot from 15 yards with Fiocchi 158 gr. JHP, 12 rounds each. Weaver stance.

It's pretty obvious from your post that you've never shot the drill. Each dot is 2" and at 3 yards it can be difficult, especially if you're unfamiliar with the basics. 5 yards is even more of a challenge.

I welcome you to print out the target and try it for yourself. Don't forget to post the pictures of your target

totally. I shoot 4 legged animals and targets at 100 yards. Not 3 yards. Both of which are far larger than 2 inches across! Heck, with my arms at a 10 inch barrel my muzzle is halfway to 3 yards! I'm not doubting that its difficult, I just assumed you were shooting rapid or something to add challenge.

oop, read the 'rules'. No way will I ever do that. I don't shoot 460 S&W in an uncompensated 5 lb pistol with one hand. Strong or weak!

Probably unwise to shoot one handed. Just a different gun for a different purpose.

not scoffing at 3 yards, I don't doubt it's tough.

Well, there are other guns available to shoot this drill with. Don't limit yourself to being a one trick pony

Dan Wesson Classic brought it out for the first time along with a new to me Norinco I picked up cheap, also first time out with it.

10 yards for some function testing with some PMC and Estate 230 gr. ball. 15-16 rounds each target.

The Wesson Classic V-Bob

The Norinco...

Left the Dan Wesson, right the Norinco.

Below are a few pics of targets shot at an indoor range with the Sig P238. Nothing fancy but gives an idea of what the gun can do.

Here at 8 yards 16 rounds with some Magtech 95 gr. ball ammo. Two hands, aimed fire.

8 rounds at 8 yards of 90 gr. PMC Bronze ball ammo.

8 rounds of 85 gr. STHP from Winchester again from 8 yards. Flyers are mine.

Here at 10 yards rapid drills. Some one handed. 45 rounds.

I've only been shooting consistently for about 3 months now, this was my best grouping of this weeks practice at 7 yards. (OnTarget range)

Before going to the range, we spent a few hours on basic gun handing safety and marksmanship fundamentals at home, then this - my daughter's first 10 shot group from 10 yards with my FNS-9:

Indeed.
Being an instructor at Front Sight, I used her to "validate" my instructional techniques.
Also, I wanted to make sure she didn't freak out when it came to guns.
She also shot my M4 almost as well

She's in her 3rd week of basic at Fort Jackson now

Thanks. I KNOW I can do better with the Sig, but I haven't shot it in about 8-9 months.

Also, if you discount the flier on the M&P, that's a 2.5" group.

A new to me used M41 I picked up recently which came with an extra slide.

At 10 yards, iron sights, just sighting the gun in, some Remington jhp and some lead Federal. The targets are a lot blurrier than they were 20 years ago. Production problem no doubt.

I rented the 500 magnum at Smith & Wesson back in 2007. Forget the yards, probably 10ish. Actually kind of surprised I hit the target at all.

I am nowhere near advanced shooting, intermediate if that. Here are 10yd / 3 shots with FMJ 115gr WWB. Body shots were my 15 year old son and headshots were mine after receiving these two.

Here's a pretty cool iPhone 5s video shooting at 120fps slow motion.

best group ive ever shot was with a g20 gen3 (10mm) that i rented. 5 rounds at 10 yards (free hand standing, 1 shot every few seconds). tape was placed before shooting this group (although the 3 groups under the tape weren't bad either). ammo was blazer aluminum... which almost makes me wonder if i got lucky, but i was also having a really good shooting day.

I got a KKM barrel for my G19 with RMR and took it to the range today to re-zero the RMR to the new barrel.

Here are some 10shot groups at 7 yards while I was zeroing the RMR.

Here are some 10 shot groups at 7 yards

Here are some 5 shot groups at 7 yards (flyers not part of these groups)

Testing out my reloads and practicing draw and double taps with my Sig TTT. Don't mind the lower shots. Those are from my son.
