Default CCI introduces five new rim fire products for 2019 at Shot Show

Can't post link from cell phone, but article on thefirearmblog.com

Quiet-22 Semi Auto 45g 735 fps is one I'd like to try.
New 40g polymer coated bullet in both HV and SV 22LR.
A new polymer-tip in Mach2 17 and 22 WMR.
Too bad no more online ammo sales to CA for me.

Thanks for the link. The Quiet-22 does seem like it would be fun to try. However the chamber of my rifle doesn't like CCI Standard Velocity so I imagine the same would be the case for their other rounds.

The Quiet doesn’t cycle autos very well. Also, one needs to be careful shooting it from a long barrel or a barrel with a tight bore such as a CZ.

Question

Should work in the S&W 43 C, but will it be quiet?

Why not?

If you haven't and don't want to exempt yourself just find a dealer that doesn't charge by the round or percentage of the cost and you can still buy online.

I shoot CCI Quiets in my S&W pre-Model 43 all the time - in fact today - and they are very quiet. Very accurate too

I be stoked if I can get the new quiets to run through one of my 22 pistols or my Marlin 795.

No, not really. It's quiet enough to shoot a few rounds without hearing protection but sustained fire will be painful. .22 out of a pistol is twice as loud as a rifle. At least that's how my ears feel about it. It seems like the new quiet load are trying to take on the remington subsonic load with a little less noise. My semi autos will cycle the remington subsonics no problem. The new quiet's are only 35 FPS more than the current ones. Maybe they found a balance with just a few more FPS.

What part of "new" did you not understand ?

They introduced a "new" quiet for semiautos , they work fine in a ruger charger and cycle just fine . My guess is that they will cycle a 10/22 just fine , haven't tried in a 10/22 , yet .

They worked fine in my charger . Oh yeah with the suppressor on it they are quieter than an airgun , you hear click of the bolt is about it .

Ahh they problems of living in a free state.

Folks in SoCal should check with LAX Ammo on availability of certain ammo. When I lived there, no one came close to having the selection they had in the store.

Capt Dunse, The difference between 710 fps and 735 fps is not enough to make it cycle any better, especially in a semi auto rifle. By the way, I do understand "new".

So , have you tried the new ones ? I have .

So if the increase / change doesn't make them cycle any better my Buckmark and Charger must be broken , going to have to take them to a gunsmith to have them fixed so they do not run on them.

And even after quoting me , you still didn't get my screen name spelled correctly , must make you an expert .

I will let you know what the gunsmith finds broken on both the Buckmark and the Charger , you have me worried now .

You are right, there is not a huge difference between 710 fps and 735 fps. But you are neglecting the increased bullet weight from 40 grains to 45 grains, a 12.5% increase. Again this is not a huge increase but may be enough to cycle some semiautomatics. Can the new quiets function reliably in semiautomatics? Maybe not.

I will definitely be buying some of the new Quiets as soon as I can find some locally to try.

I am certainly glad you are happy with your newfound ammo.

As I stated before, CCI Quiets dont cycle semis very well. Some may cycle just fine, where others donít. Some rifles with long barrels do not shoot them well, especially some CZís. I didnít say anything about a Buckmark or a Charger.

As far as what the gunsmith finds wrong with your firearms, probably sloppy bolts and/or loose bores.

Yeah. They are markedly worse past 35 yards than lead CCI... LOTS of flyers.

Brand new barrels for both , the needed to be threaded for the suppressor ( again , the problems with living in Free America ) so if any thing they need to loosen up a bit more .

I believe the smith I used / bought the charger from ,and worked on the buckmark knew what he was doing . Well known here for work on anything NFA .

And the new ones cycle them just fine , going to try longer barrels next , maybe TC Contender carbine barrel , and the 10/22 carbines , or maybe the Viper ( that barrel is longer than the 10/22) .

And I guess you have not tried them , so I will take your opinion on them as that , must have read a review of old ones on the internet and didn't try them yourself

Can you please clarify if you're talking about the new Quiets or the old ones?? Because the olds ones I agree, but the new version of the Quiet seems to be marketed specifically for Semi auto function. It's even printed on the packaging as such.
