Default Difficulty locking slide back

Hello all, first post here.

I have a new Walther PPQ and I have a hard time locking the slide back. Do you ladies have any tips?

Default slide lock back

+1 on the video linked above. Most of us have to rotate our right hand around the grip in order to reach the slide lock. Keep the gun close in your workspace.

There is also the "cheater" method but it requires an extra, empty magazine. If you can't lock the slide back any other way, just remove any loaded magazine, insert an empty magazine, and rack the slide. The slide should lock back automatically on the empty magazine. To be clear, I don't consider this to be cheating. It is just using all tools available to you in order to overcome an obstacle.

Just be safe and be aware of your muzzle direction. Hope that helps.

After my stroke several years ago, I discovered this method. I did not have the hand and arm strength to lock back my slide. I had to do this for a few years and still do today with my 10 mm guns with their heavy duty recoil springs.

It is not cheating, it is using your head and for me it helps to deal with the arthritis in my hands.

A vote is clearly much more dangerous than a gun.

Why advocate restrictions on one right (voting) without comparable restrictions on another (self defense) (or, why not say 'Be a U.S. citizen' as the requirement for CCW)?

At the 10 minute mark the fellow demonstrating the techniques has his 13 year old daughter racking various pistols to show it's technique, not strength.
