Pre-War Mosin Nagant 91/30 1938
Make: Mosin Nagant
Model: 91/30 Caliber: 7.62 x 54r Location (city or county): Culver City, CA Price: $275 Will ship (Y/N): Y, on your dime. Other info: Really interesting 1938 Mosin Nagant. I feel that these pre-war Mosins are of higher build quality because the Soviets were not in a such a rush to complete them at that time. Round receiver. Receiver and buttplate are matching, but the bolt and magazine floorplate are not. Unlike most of the Mosins on the market, this rifle does not appear to have been arsenal refinished. I say this because the metal portions (barrel, barrel bands, buttplate, receiver, and magazine) are "in the white." Furthermore, the stock does not have "new" shellac on it and has a letter "H" painted on it. I have seen such letters and numbers painted on military surplus rifles, and they add authenticity and character to them. This gun is import marked on the front right side of the barrel in an inconspicuous location. It bears the markings of Century Arms Int'l: C.A.I. ST. ALB. VT. M91 RUSSIAN 7.62 X 54R Finally, the trigger has the sweetest pull to any Mosin I have shot. I will let you pull the trigger on this gun (unloaded) at the FFL where we do the DROS, as long as they are okay with it. PM me for any questions. Thank you for your attention.
