Just curious.

That's the old/regular SA case. That's the same case that I got my Loaded in. My XD-m came in an identical case (but black). My XD came in the Essentials box. The old Pro case were more generic.

The picatinny rails are a gimmick. Much like the picatinny rails on the mag pouch and the holsters. I suppose the idea is to mount either the mag loader that they include in the XD/XD-m's or a light/laser/espresso machine on your holster.

Thanks gents.

*I don't know what a 3/12 connecter is, but I will have it installed at the dealer so I don't vode the guarantee.
Sorry-that was a Glock-joke. The 3 1/2 lb ghost connector is an 'operator' upgrade for the Glock cognoscenti. Same with the stippling comment. You won't need any skateboard tape though. The front and rear strap are both checkered quite nicely. The Pro front strap checkering is less harsh than the TRP checkering. Just my humble opinion.

You're welcome! I had another one saved in my bookmarks, but it's a dead link.

Those are the same cases that other SA 1911's come in. It because they are not contract guns anymore. FBI would just throw away all of the old cases, thus the reason they were so cheap.

You’re correct. No fancy packaging or legion coins included. People don’t buy SA Pros for the swag.

I definitely would. There is no point whatsoever in buying a really expensive firearm if it doesn't come with matching stickers and a logo ballcap to wear to the range. Otherwise, no one will even know what you are shooting. Total FAIL.
