I didn't use illumination, it was bright enough.

Hello, I was looking for an optic for my LWRC REPR 308 when I found this thread.

Do you have recommendations as to what mount I should get? I would be using this mainly for bench shooting and may shoot competition later.

Thanks

Is the max setting on the 1-6 a true daylight bright? I read a review that on setting 6 (the brightest) it was... well... could've been brighter.
Just for the record, I'm a huge Primary Arms fan! Own many PA products with nothing but positive things to say.

The 1-6 is not day time illuminated. There will be other models coming out that will be brighter. Like others have mentioned in day time the huge black horseshoe is very easy to pick up and fast! We set the illumination for low light setting. You can use it under moon light and not get that glare that you get from other illuminated reticles.

I ordered one of your 1-6 the other day and am really looking forward to it. But, my old eyes may need the extra help. Do you have an idea when your models with day time illumination models may become available?

I can see the 2.5x and 4x in daylight. There is also an Optisan version coming that is the best quality optic so far. In testing 800 yard hits were easily made! The BDC is on its the wind that will drive you crazy.

What sort of mount is recommended for a lower 1/3 cowitness at 1x? Is that even possible?

Just buy a quality QD mount (Bobro, ADM, or Larue, in that order) and use a flip-up ranging rear sight (KAC, Matech, etc...). Flip-up front sight optional.

No real need to co-witness irons. with this kind of setup. If you need the irons, just ditch the scope, because it's probably boned anyway. The Bobro reportedly holds zero perfectly, and ADM holds zero to 1 MOA or better.

Why do you prefer ADM over Bobro?
