Smile FREE BULLETS at Next Reloading class March 5 11AM

Our next reloading class is taking reservations. It will take place at J&R guns in Livermore on Sat. March 5 starting at 11AM. Class is taught by John Steiger who will take you step by step through the reloading process. Each attendee will perform all operations and learn to inspect brass, set up the sizing die, full length size a bottleneck rifle case, trim, chamfer, prime, charge and set bullet. We will bring up such subjects as bullet selection and load development as time permits. Beginners or those with some knowledge are welcome.
************************************************** **********
John Begakis, nationally ranked, master class revolver competition shooter will then demonstrate the Dillon progressive machines. One of his sponsors has generously agreed to donate several hundred bullets to each attendee who pre-pays before class...you choice of standard pistol caliber...NOTE these are high quality bullets by an up and coming new manufacturer....don't miss this great deal. Sign up and pay at store or leave a message for us here with any questions. This class will get you started and give you access to a lot of knowledge...hope to see you there! John S aka 30-338

Default Cost is $75

Cost $75 dollars...well worth it for the amount of knowledge you will get. The bullets are Bear Creek...I think they are coated. 30-338

Default Very good class

Just finished the basic reloading class at J&R's. It was a very good class with 10 excellent students. Good questions asked and answered. A bunch of guys stayed on afterwards and we had a little exposure to advanced techniques...such as "ladder testing" for load development, measuring to the ogive on finished rounds, and using the datum line to set sizing dies ...I really think we need to develop an advanced class sometime soon and take the next step....Hope you guys enjoyed it and gained lots of practical knowledge. Thanks to national revolver competitor John Begakis who got his sponsor to donate bullets to students...load carefully and be safe! 30-338

Sadly, I just saw this too and would have loved to attend one of these. How late does the class typically run? Depending on location, I might try and make a near future date, I just have some weekend night commitments until hockey season ends.

Default reloading classes, advanced class

We normally schedule these classes on an "as per" basis and when we think there is enough interest to make the class worthwhile. This has been about every 3 mos. or so. Classes start at 11 AM on the scheduled Saturday and usually run till 2-3 PM....Hope you can attend one.
I have been thinking about an advanced class to take students from the basics of full length sizing and seating according to SAAMI specs to neck and partial sizing, measuring ogive and datum line, ascertaining your particular chamber size and seating bullet to a determined length based on the above particulars of your individual rifle. I think a discussion of concentricity gauges ( to measure bullet run out ) and load development would be included. Any interest out there? 30-338 JS
