Is the April 22-23 event at Piru still on?
Edit: The subject line date is incorrect, th event is on April 22-23. Sorry about that!
Someone posted at CG that the schedules for gun clubs at Piru might be changed due to new owners. Will this affect Appleseed shoots? Thanks in advance! Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk Last edited by PogoJack; 04-05-2017 at 5:09 AM.. Reason: correct date of shoot. |

The dates are April 22 and 23, not 21-22.
There's two instructors and 18 people signed up, so yeah, I'd say it's still on.

Chinny33 got bored... started rapid fire/cadence on the 100 yard plate with his 22AR. And he brought his orange hat as proof!
Now when are we going to see readysetgo out in Piru? I haven't talked to you since you were running the CalGuns table at IslandView, we could use your passion out there! |

Pharmboy - I'm pretty sure I know who you are as there was only one couple on the line. Two things:
First get the equipment squared away so you aren't letting it mess with your learning. If you are using a scope be sure it is set up *perfectly* at max magnification while prone, with a stock/cheekweld that puts your eye in the right spot without thinking/straining. Also for 22LR invest an extra $0.02 per round for non-bulk box ammo. Something that comes in 50 or 100 boxes. Second, did you leave your EZ-up or does that belong to somebody else? Nobody down by you guys claimed it, and I don't remember Bob having any in the shed. If it is yours, be sure to get on the Appleseed forums and message Bob210, and then sign up for another Appleseed! Ok I lied, 3 things: You and your wife had such great teachable attitudes and I saw a lot of improvement in just the 2 days. A Rifleman persists, and I know you will both be back. Hi Erich,
Thanks for the input and guidance during Appleseed and now. Will have my equipment squared away and prepared next time. The tent is not ours. I believe Dan got it out of the shed. It was a pleasure having you as an instructor. Quote:

The EZ up is Appleseed's and came out of the conex and went back in. No problems.
Thank you to everyone who came out, it was a pleasure and a privilege to help celebrate the heritage with everyone. Thank you Bob for your tireless efforts. Great instruction and stories from Erich. And special thanks to Dan who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed help, well something like that - you had to be there to understand, but remember, what happens in Piru stays in Piru ;-) Cheers |
