The punishment for trespassing depends upon the level at which trespassing is charged. In that regard, trespassing is unusual under California law because it can be charged as an infraction, misdemeanor or a felony. Mostly, it is charged as a misdemeanor. A misdemeanor violation, of Penal Code 602 carries with it up to six months in county jail and a maximum $1,000 fine. |

This is exactly identical to knowing you make $27,000 a year, spending $37,000 a year, having $170,000 on the credit card and then whining that it's "unfair" when the card company won't let you run up another 10 large.
