100gr RN or 95gr lead 380 ACP questions
About to order bulk components to reload was wondering if anyone has shot anything bigger than a 95gr. Out of a smith and Wesson bodyguard. 380.
I currently reload 88gr and 95gr. But noticed when I seated 95gr. I had to push them back further than the .980 around .970+/-.05 to get to chamber properly. I'm worried 100gr jhp or lead will be too big this gun. I know guys use 115gr in other brands but can't find anything on bodyguards. I just hate to buy 5k in bullets and end up not able to use. |

I use Berrys 100gr Plated RN seated to .975" with PMC Non-toxic primers and W231. Only .380's I tried that in was the S&W Bodyguard, Roger LCP and Sig P232SL. Worked fine in the Bodyguard and P232, but had two out of fifty fail to feed in the LCP. Had to tap the back of the slide on those two, then it chambered and fired just fine. It was hanging up on the LCP's feed ramp.

With the 100g Extreme's I use AutoComp and PB. I generally get the best results from PB...
Unfortunately, it was mentioned in one of the other threads that they are no longer making PB. |
