Default Range report

Many of you suffered through all my questions, thoughts, and ignorance of long range, and building a Lon range rifle. Well I got her done, and out to the range yesterday. I couldnít be happier.

Eyeballed it down the bore for boresight. Had me on paper first shot. Got her zeroed, then ran a couple strings for a tall target. Stayed true 30 minutes up. At 100 yds, 30 in the turret, gave me right at 30Ē on the paper. Gotta hand it to vortex, love that pst 2.

The mdt chassis and stock were nice and secure, and with the adjustability, gave me the ability to go completely limp on the rifle, with a perfect site picture. As long as I did my part, she was clover at 100.

All in all, Iím super stoked, and look foreword to getting out and seeing how far I can get out. All this was done with gmm175ís. Canít wait to get some loads worked up.

Thanks to everyone that took the time to respond, educate, and link me with info to get this done.

Nice! Now to start rolling your own 168/175's and start attending an "Intro to NRA Midrange" class. You'll be back asking more questions on reloading and wind-reading.

Don't bother.
Just load 43.5gr of Varget under a 175 SMK at 2.820" and call it done.

2.82 is actually a little long for my chamber. Measured it yesterday and the 175ís need to be under 2.17 to ojive to give me a little jump. Will let the ladder determine the final powder load.
