Default Arizona non resident ccw or Utah

I live in Los Angeles and wanted to get a non resident ccw just in case the reciprocity bill passes. I know im gambling but I'm willing. Was just wondering which one would you guys reccomend over the other and why. As far as I know arizona seems easier.

Welcome to CalGuns Rob. There are a lot of threads and advice on that already in this forum, I would agree AZ is easier but they're both easy. I think the idea of getting a non-resident AZ CCW and having it one day translate to you having a CA or 50 state CCW while living in LA County is a real longshot... but what the heck, can't hurt.

Good luck.

UT is recognized in WA but not NM. AZ is recognized in NM but not WA.

AZ is recognized in NV in case you spend time there. Both are easy to get.

Except Florida's application fee is twice as much as AZ or UT, so that 7 years doesn't seem as cost-effective. And UT's renewal fee is $15. So you could say FL is 7 years for $102, but UT is 10 years for $62.

As for the difference between UT and AZ for coverage, what BAJ475 said. Except for the WA/NM difference, UT and AZ permits are recognized in the same states.

I would get both....5 Arrows Tactical in San Dimas offers a class about once a month that will meet all requirements to apply for both AZ and UT, (and FL and OR and VA if I remember correctly), and they have a finger printing agent who will come in at the end of the class and roll all the fingerprint cards you will need for your AZ and UT applications, the fingerprinting is an additional fee on top of the cost of the class, but it certainly makes the whole process very easy.
