Default Why it takes so long to get a permit

i mailed an application to Maine for a non resident permit on April 11, certified mail return receipt.

as of today they are claiming the Maine State Police are still closed, and cant deliver the envelope

and that was after they sent it to Hawaii just to have a little vacay...

Because, it's the USPS.

You should have used UPS or FedEx.

Why did you send it certified, return receipt? Just curious.

wanted to make sure it actually arrived.

when i took the class in florida they told us that if the application got lost, we could be certain that SOMEONE would have a ccw with our name on it.

and i didnt want to take the risk when the cost was only a couple dollars.

Plus its fun to see the application travel, first to hawaii, then stay in the truck for 4 days etc....
