I bought mine via the web, needs to be CA compliant yes of course. No BB needed though on 22lr. And often, they will swap out mags for you to the blocked 10 round mag - or local FFL can manage that. In my case, I sent a mag block from Tacticool 22 to the vendor who blocked the 30rnd for me.

Not sure of PSA's willingness to help though. So that would need consideration.

In my experience PSA hasn't been California friendly like with their rifle bag and 30 round magazine deal - they won't sub 10's for the hood.

For a limited time, S&W will send you 300 rounds of .22lr ammunition with proof of purchase!

Firearm purchases – We only ship to valid FFL dealers. Please contact your local FFL receiving the firearm to verify their transfer fee and to ensure they will receive your transfer. Please follow the directions prompted to you at checkout. This will ensure speedier delivery. If you order a handgun, stockless shotgun, or stripped lower receiver, YOU MUST be a legal resident of the state in which you are ordering and be at least 21 years of age to complete the transfer through your FFL*. Long gun transfers (where legal) may be completed across state lines. Contact your local FFL dealer with any questions regarding the sale or transfer of firearms. The customer is responsible for knowing his/her state laws regarding firearm transfers. The customer assumes all responsibility and cost for returned firearms due to FFL refusal or failure to receive. *Exceptions- Military personnel stationed in a state other than their legal residence may purchase firearms across state lines. Contact your local FFL receiving the transfer as you may have to provide proof of deployment, residence, etc.

PSA will not ship any handguns to CA that are not on the DOJ roster. This includes Single Shot Exemption conversions.

Non-Compliant AR-15 models will NOT be shipped to the following states:
California (PSA will not install a “bullet button” on ANY firearm from another manufacturer other than PSA.)
Connecticut
Maryland
Massachusetts
New Jersey
New York

Who's the best FFL that Palmetto will deal with in LA?

Even if the gun doesn't come with a magazine, it's still a great deal. You can pick up the 10 round mags for his gun for under $40.

confirmed over the phone with PSA's "Gun department"

They will ship the rifle to CA because it's compliant. They WILL NOT ship the mags.

So basically, rifle, with no mags. Still a pretty good deal.

Heck yeah.. still awesome price. And, you can pick up mags along the way.

Lanbos has 10 round shorties (great for bench shooting)

Heartland has 10 rnd shorties

44mag has 100 rnd shorties

MVO has 10 rnd shorties

Long ago, I had 30 rounders shipped to extended family in TX, send 10rnd blocks to them from Tacticool22, and had them send me the mags blocked.

I brought one last year. Love it. Works way better than my CMMG dedicated upper and was cheaper too (paid 370 at the time). Mags are better, last shot hold open works better, etc.

Lanbos has 10rnd long mags for $11.82ea

If you order over $100 of clearance items, shipping is only $10

These mags are clearance items, btw, so they count towards the $100. The short mags do not.

Edit:
Btw, 374 rifles left

Redfield has a great price, but they're too far from me. I'd probably spend $40 in gas for the 2 round trips, not to mentions hours of driving total.

I've used Boogaloo Tactical in the past. Torrance area.

He's a great guy and a member here.

I think long guns are $55 + DROS, but you should check his website to verify.

My only other local option is the LGS that charges $100 + DROS

Question about the mags, do you put in the comments that you don't want the mag or will PSA remove it?

This did not happen with my order. Mine got put on hold and I got an e-mail saying they would not ship the included magazine to CA. I responded back that I would like the mag removed and they processed the order. Not a big deal but cost me a couple of days. Might just let them know up front your ok with the mag being removed.

Interesting. I called them before Labor Day weekend to ask about that before I ordered. They told me they remove it automatically on ca orders. I ordered one online the next day (Saturday), and it shipped out on the following Monday without a magazine. No comment or note was given. Looks like another PSA inconsistency. IMO, anytime anyone from CA orders something from them, a follow up call is highly recommended.
